Whistle blew to take a freekick, they did and the ref blew it again because it was too quick but they scored, he then gave the goal but VAR took it away.

How was it "too quick" if the ref had blown for it to be taken? Not critising you - just don't understand.

Don't oxf*rd ask me. Watch the highlights. He blew for it to be taken and then blew again and said it was too quick when the ball was almost in the net

Think it was because the ref blew his whistle but then saw that the ‘keeper was still setting up his wall and wasn’t ready, although quite how that’s Brighton’s issue, I don’t know.

Madness.

Man City have not dropped a point since 15 December, they have not lost since 21 November. Michail Antonio's equaliser was the first goal they have conceded to an opposition player in open play at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League since James Maddison curled in a 25-yard effort for Leicester on 27 September.

In their last three games Brighton have had 65 shots, 20 on target, and scored once.

On the whole, don’t take much interest in XG but nonetheless would be interesting to see Brighton’s stats as they do seem to dominate a lot of games - only to fall short

Conundrum there really as Potter has them playing decent football but the more they veer closer to the relegation zone, the more questions that’ll be asked

Nor does anyone else ?
Least of all the players concerned

basically, ref totally oxf*rd up, then officials desperately find an excuse to undo the oxf*rd up.

Lee Mason is out of fourth official duties today through injury. PGMOL haven't said what the injury is.

Lovely tackle from Jay Spearing last night. Not even an appeal from the Newport players and ya man just gets up and plays on. Imagine the screams and imaginary card waving if it had happened in the prem.

No, that's brilliant from the County player.

Loving the battle at for the last relegation place in the Champ. Rotherham having 2 games in hand and a better GD than anyone else down there makes it pretty exciting

Cov have a very nice run of games coming up and a real chance to get some distance from the relegation zone

Would love to see Rotherham stay up at the expense of Birmingham. The dream would be QPR going down, but they appear just far enough out of it right now, and with Wycome & Hudds to play in the next couple of weeks too to see them ok
