handbags_harris It's comical in Spain, when I had Sky Sports I used to watch a reasonable amount of La Liga and there rarely was a game that ended 11 v 11. Referees are pretty sh*t at conrtrolling players as well, fans shout for anything regardless of whether it's a clean challenge, just an utterly blinkered, bent game to watch.

Can't fault the quality on show though, although the TV rights deal has destroyed any semblance of competition at the top of the division.

two things there

bent - that's the word for it
and
rights deal - what a warning that is to anyone who thinks it's a good idea here. not that they'd listen

Real Madrid lose 1-0 to Betis, that's the same Betis who got hammered in the Seville derby a week ago.

Two horse race (copyright English Media and fans) is starting to look interesting with the presence of Falcao and co who could be 8 points clear of Madrid if they win tonight. Next week the Madrid derby and Atleti's best chance in a decade to beat Madrid.

Tito Vilanova steps down as Barcelona manager due to health reasons (tumour)

Barcelona say they are already in touch with their first choice candidate about standing in for the rest of the season. Wonder who that might be......

Bit rude of UEFA, they have refused to pay out malaga's champions league winnings which are a lot of millions, then they ban them from competitions for having poor finances, jesus christ if they'd just paid them their winnings their finances wouldn't be so bad.
On another note, Malaga are owned by some rich arab, he refuses to put any money in and they are suffering financially.

Presumably they earned their CL winning after screwing the tax authorities.

Good first half at what looks like just a half full Bernabeu. 2-2 and a red card for Madrids sub keeper.

This will only add to belief that Mourinho is trying to get sacked to get his payoff.

Xabi Alonso was class in that match and Ronaldo was brilliant as usual.
Moronho has definitely got to the more trouble than he's worth stage(LOL at Casillas ignoring him).

Ronaldo might have to think about leaving, can't be in the shadow of Messi forever.
