Very light punishment. Half of what Rio Ferdinand got for missing a drugs test.

Just the sort of action you would expect from a corrupt organisation like FIFA.

So be it.
I reckon that with the likelihood of a restriction on earnings in his contract if he does something to deliberately affect his ability to work he will effectively lose around £4 million or so in wages which is quite a financial hit.

I think he will miss many more Premier League fixtures as he will be playing in Spain or France.

There should be no place in sport for a man like him.

He should have been banned for life.

Bet your arse that if some non-entity non league player had 3 bites against his name he'd be booted out of the game.

He's a dangerous man to have on the football field. Head butted a referee, numerous times he's deliberately stood on an opponent's Achilles, 3 bites....

4 months and 9 internationals is a fcuking insult to all the decent people he's attempted to maim in various ways down the years.

Apparently Uruguay are considering pulling out of the Columbia game.

Would that open the door for Italy if they refuse to play or a straight bye into the last 8?

Employee goes out at the weekend, gets tanked up, assaults someone and goes to prison. Would you think 'why is the employer being punished?'

It's more like the employee was working two jobs and bit someone at one job and has now been banned from working at either

Try a doctor working at two hospitals.

Gets struck off for something he does in one role. Barred from working in the other.

I can't believe that Liverpool fans would defend and excuse someone associated with their club who savagely attacked somebody from Juventus FC................

It may have changed now (and it may have only applied to England) but it used to be the case that if a player was injured on International duty and thus unavailable for their club then the club were entitled to claim compensation from the relavent FA.

They couldn't could they? ;-)

The 'proper' Liverpool fans I know who are from Liverpool want him gone. Seems mainly the southern ones who never go, want him to stay.
