I'm still waiting for him to admit it and apologise.

IMHO his total denial of doing anything wrong at all (and backed up by his teammates and management) is the most shocking aspect of this saga.

Like many problems, the first step to recovery is to admit that you have one.

The more they deny it the worse it will be. The fact that they have video evidence and are still contesting by denying events and threatening to pull out of the WC will force FIFA into a corner. There can only be one winner in this whatever happens in the short term.

Of course it does show South American football in a bad light as we already knew that if a team wins by getting a dodgy decision it makes it all the sweeter. That wa sshown in a BBC interview before the games started.

so now we know blatant thuggery is excused by a president with a Wenger like blindness they simply have no shame. how on earth he can put the honour of their nation against a known thug in a football match makes me wonder...

Good luck FIFA keep your chin up an don't lose your nerve.

Tabarez with an astonishing defence of Suarez in his press conference tonight (which consisted of a rambling statement and no questions). Oliver Kay of The Times made a good point on twitter, Suarez had his best ever season last year when Rodgers stood up to him rather than indulged him.....

Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run for Lolerpool to just employ an in-house legal team?

All big clubs have a legal department

What is the size of the legal team?
There are three of us at the Club: Natalie Wignall, General Counsel, who has overall responsibility for the Club’s legal services as well as HR and Club Secretarial matters, myself and Joanne Roberts, Legal Executive who specialises in construction matters.

However on larger issues they will seek outside specialist advice.

Apols if this has already been posted but I enjoyed the irony that his grandmother was complaining that he was being treated like a dog.
