Stranded Yep but they only do so because they know the press will go after them if they actually enforced the laws and sent off 2 or 3 players per game.

I'd sooner PGMOL grew some bollocks, if that's the case. Clamp down on stuff. And then maybe Howard Webb can use his gentle slot on that show with Michael Owen to stand there and say 'these are the laws of the game, suck it up.'

Everything feels 'massaged'.

I still don't think enough is made of Mike Dean's comment that he let Antony Taylor off a tough decision because he'd had a bad day. That won't have been an isolated incident and is likely indicative of how things are run behind the scenes. It stinks.

As to managers - did anyone ever scream in Pierluigi Collina's face?

It would all be about the refs not being human or flexible or not understanding the game rather than the players needing to get their behaviours in check.

But only because they let it get this bad in the first place.

If they'd done their job 10, 15 , 20 years ago we'd never have got here.

The Berks and Bucks FA have organised a talk from referee Graham Scott followed by a Q & A session. It’s on Thursday 23rd Jan in the club 106 room at the SCL stadium.
Tickets are £5 tea and coffee included.
7.30-9.30pm
Might be an interesting event.

Out of interest do the PGMOL ever reveal the outcomes of any reporting into complaints made by clubs on their refereeing members? Or is it, as I suspect, all kept horribly top secret like SOE operations in WWII? Really should be more transparency with this highly secretive organisation.
