Royalee We weren't in the relegation zone when he was sacked, so I'm afraid you're making assumptions. I'm going to make one of my own and assume you don't know what you're talking about.

Get out of BR arse, jeez. Did you send him a Valentines day card?

I know your Rodgers biggest fan and that you are totally unable to see his faults from his time here just as the car park fans you so regularly take the piss out of couldn't see the faults of their hero.

I'm sick of hearing you bitch and moan about Rodgers not getting a chance. Football is a results business Rodgers didn't get them here hence the reason why he was sacked. Unfortunately you don't seem to understand that.

At least their man crush actually did something decent for this club.

How? It put us back years once we were relegated.

He brought Premier League football to this club for the first time in it's history that's how. Whatever happened in his last two seasons here he was the first man to take us to the top level and that's something that we should all - including you - respect the man for.

That's a bit like saying Avram Grant's Chelsea's best ever manager because he was the first man to take them to the Champions League final...of course he isn't though. Pardew and McGhee both did far more good for this club than Coppell, who undid all his good work (and more) in his last two seasons.

Totally different and you know it. Grant was always a stop gap for that season and was there to provide stability.

Pardew and Mcghee walked out before they had the chance to do get us promoted because they thought they were better than our club. They did more harm than good - in the case of Mcghee - it took several managers before we corrected the damage he did.

We've had this discussion before where you claimed that it was Pards players that got us promoted and you were shown that you were wrong. We were in a very good position in the league when Pardew left and he totally ruined that season and subsequent seasons by doing so.

You think McGhee did damage? He got us promoted and nearly up again to the Premiership playing lovely football - I think you'll find it had more to do with selling half our team when we lost the Playoff Final and Quinn and Bullivant not being very good.

LOL at Pardew 'ruining' seasons too, he left us in the playoffs, about 40 odd league places higher than when he took over, with a reasonable squad.

Coppell left us in a lower position than when he took over, with us on a downer having to sell players.

So in your book, Coppell's tenure was a failure then?

Rev Algenon Stickleback H Good to see Brendan's football is inspiring the Swansea public to come out in numbers.

All time record attendance for the new ground today...

and what relevance has that to a comment made a week ago?

Well done though. Does that push the average above 15,000?

I stand by what I said I'm sure there's many who'll agree. Those two thought they were better than Reading Football Club and they ruined the good things they did by leaving before they completed their work. whatever you think of how his time here ended Coppell was in tune with this club and he respected it which is more than can be said for Pardew and McGhee.

Yep - he failed in establishing us as a Premier League club - he left us in a worse state than he found us in.

Some of us can see past how the two left the club and recognise they progressed the club far more than someone who got promoted once and relegated once, an aggregate of no promotions rather than 1.

Teams that overperform tend to get bigger clubs sniffing around.

We saw it in 1995 - as the team got broken up and players found it hard to recreate their form, we sort of saw it in 2003 - we couldn't replace one or two players and others didn't recreate their form of the previous season, and we saw it in 2007.

It would have happened, pretty much regardless of manager.

And it will happpen again.

Yep - he failed in establishing us as a Premier League club - he left us in a worse state than he found us in.

I don't think the last bit is true - I'd like to think we're more financially stable than we were. We spend extra to go for it in 2005 (breaking transfer record several times in quick succession) and now we can't go on like this, we've got to cut the deficit. It's just hard to do that without affecting front-line services.

A bit like Brian Clough at Forest then......another failure by your reasoning.

So say Blackpool get relegated will that make Ian Hollaways tenure a failure?

Staying up in the prem was always going to be a hard task, many teams before us had failed to do it and many teams after us will not suceed but it doesn't make those managers a failure.
