No Ibrahimovic for Barca on Tuesday

Toure and Suarez also suffered knocks and face a race to be fit

Plus they are already without Puyol and Pique

Might not be the walk over everyone is predicting

Personally I have always considered Marquez to be better than Pique so don't see the loss of the latter to really be much of a loss at all. Puyol missing is a blow though.

Am i the only 1 who gets wound up by commentators saying that? Its pretty obvious! you never here them say a team needs 2 to win when they go 1 down in a league game.

Gooners pay the price for really pissing Barca off by taking the lead. 2-1 now and Messi's second had how many passes in the build up? The ball retention and movement is astonishing. Wonderful.

Sky sports are getting on my nerves, Messi played a simple chip over the keeper and it's audacious and the best thing they've ever seen.

Messi first half hat-trick! Nice Simon-Osborn-esque scoop over Aluminium. Tie over. Gooners could get a raping here.

So they don't do it when Rooney scores yet another tap-in?
Appreciate Messi-truly great players don't come along too often-Pele,Maradona,Cruyff and now Messi.
Won't it be great for English football 10 or 15 years down the road if the kids get out and practise and immitate the dribbling skills of Messi rather than just run, run, run like most English players believe the game is all about?
Be envious of Messi but don't ignore his skill.

Arsenal deserve one for being the easiest opponents in a champions league knockout I can ever remember. Truly shame over both ties.

I have to agree. Wenger needs to buy WORLD CLASS players, not players who might become the next big thing but never do. He also needs to keep hold of players and not shift them on all the time, if Fabregas goes in the summer (and i reckon he will) then its back to square 1 again

Wenger blames defeat on grass being too green, phases of the moon and a conjunction of the million spheres. Not quoted as stating that Silvestre defends like a cu nt.

It was pretty annoying when Motson used to go crazy everytime Rooney scores goals we see in the championship every week as well.

The talentof these players is in being in the positions they get into and in Messis case his ability to run with the ball. That said, he hasn't scored from one his mazy dribbles he's famous for. He scored from beating the off-side trap, an unlucky deflection that put the ball at his feet and a fantastic passing move he was involved in.

Other than his pile driver neither of his finishes (so far) have been spectacular efforts that required sublime skill.

Arsenal fans need to recognise that Arsenal are being very prudent with their current transfer dealings, delaying current success for future success.

Once the stadium is paid (two seasons iirc) off they'll have more money than they know what to do with. You can expect them to make more and bolder moves in the transfer market then.

I really can't bear the thought of Dani Alves winning 'honours' in football.

Now that's the kind of goal he's famous for.

Speed, Strength, direct, composed under pressure. Goal.
