It's a good tool to have and most fans still celebrate goals anyway, because why wouldn't you? It's just an instinctive reaction. If it gets chalked off, it just adds to the emotion. It can be frustrating when it works against your team I'd bet, but at the same time it's job is to improve the decision-making in football as well.

In terms of offsides, no matter how fine the margins are, it's worked well overall I think.

^^ That

If VAR can't tell within 15-30 secs its clearly not an obvious error from the ref

One of the most blatant handballs of all time bizarrely ignored by VAR in the Everton v Man City game.

Can’t get my head around that one.
Similar to the West Ham goal a week or so ago, except way more blatant

Chris Kavanagh seems to be a particularly poor VAR official

Wasn’t it something to do with Richardson being involved in the build up?

Don't think so, the referee only looked at the footage of the handball on the screen as far as I am aware.

I thought it might have been the Richarlison offside issue and, of course, we don't get to see what they are looking at nor hear what they're talking about so we'll never know

PGMOL General Manager Mike Riley has made personal phone calls to Bill Kenwright and Frank Lampard to apologise following the decision by VAR not to award Everton a penalty against Man City.

That's puts the 'Richarlison was offside' argument to bed then

Ah, that's good. Everton lose a precious point in their relegation fight, and City keep two in their title push, but Riley says 'yeah, soz like'. No explanation as to how Kavanagh got it wrong. Probably because there isn't one. Probably cynical of me to point out that Kavanagh is from Manchester.

Shirley the Manure fans are, once again, between a granite rock and a very hard place.

City win the title and it's their city neighbours rubbing it in ... again
Liverpool win the title and the 20 times song is out the window

Feel for them ...... or maybe not

it really depends where you live

If you're in Manchester, then City is prolly a bigger game as you'll get shit from mates, colleagues etc

I moved down south late 80s and the LFC glory fans did my head in...Liverpool is a bigger game for me

How come there's VAR at Forrest's ground for the FA Cup match? Thought it was only supposed to be for the Premier League grounds that have it every match.
