With Chelsea now owning 3 of the La Liga winning Atletico squad, I hope they aren't just a one season wonder and manage to challenge again next season.

Eibar, champions of Spanish 2nd division might not be let into La Liga

Funny enough, that is the town Spanish matey from work comes from

Haven't read the article but he's hopefully they will be let in but its all down to finances as they need to have a certain amount, even though they are debt free

They got all the money needed 8)

More newspaper stories in Spain this week about them looking to offload Messi to PSG. The story surfaces every couple of months and it is convincing me that it will happen at some point.

This weeks was basically saying they have had the best of him, have 2 other great forwards and his sale would wipe out all their debts

Is he allowed to train with the team? - i haven't really been following if that got overturned or not

If not, then i doubt he will play any part in the game

no still not allowed to train with them. Though I imagine there are ways around that that no one can really keep an eye on which at least allow him to form some kind of bond with his team mates and work out together, or summat

But this is Barcelona, they will surely appeal the ban and get it partly overturned anyway (no Sandman-o)

Yep, the 11 was mental, most expensive starting 11 ever to be fielded apparently. Thought Modric was different gravy as well. Never gives the ball away, and every pass is into feet or into the players path. And apprently that's them having only played together for 6 days or something like that.

Dortmund domin8ed Bayern from start to finish in the German equivalent of the Community Shield yesterday. 2-0 winners.

When coming on as a sub, Gotze did his warm up in the tunnel so that he didn't have to face the abuse from Dortmund fans on the sidelines
