He went for much higher money. Why would he stay in those circumstances? He did very well for us. Yes he was temperamental, but I'm not going to hold the crowd gesture against him forever. Brian proved his man management by getting the best out of Mills, which Rodgers and Pearson could not. Mills sat with us against Leicester. I feel slightly sorry for him that he backed the wrong horse, but I'm not gloating over a player who played his heart out for us.

Seconded.

Don't remember him shit talking when he left either. We got a good amount of money for him and in pearce we had a much more reliable less temperamental defender who has played every minute this season. Mills is on more money than we could have paid him so it worked out well all round, no hard feelings.

Agree with this. I would be tempted to bring him back

Gesture really didn't bother me, it's the fact he thought he was far better than he was and has now been found out.

He left us for more cash - fair do's however he must be thinking that if he had stayed he would be a prem player and earning similar to what he'son now.

Typical modern day fancy dan with nothing to back it up.

One of the worse Captains in my 30 years supporting. Too many on field spats with other team players, and no doubt behind the scenes too.

Brian knew exactly what he was doing by selling him.

And I cannot feel slightly sorry for anyone whose earning £15k + a week - playing football, - more fool him for not learning his lesson, seemingly now frozen out at Leicester, for probably the same reasons we let him go.

Tokyo Sex Whale

She left him as well. Gutted. Worse than being a failure in football that is.

He might not be a particularly great player, or the most level-headed individual but he played with huge passion for RFC putting his whole body on the line with some amazing challenges, and hasn't bad-mouthed the club since he left.

He has my respect.

Its time to get over it to be honest and I would welcome him back if he doesn't mind being behind Pearce and Gorks next season.

I just thank him for the scenes at Goodison. Everything else - who cares.
