Apparently Gary Neville was stating tonight that Kagawa looked nervous because he wouldn't have been used to playing in front of big crowds. That's the same Kagawa who played in front of 80,000 at Borussia Dortmund every other week.

I thought Neville had quit Sky because of his England role? He'd summered well going by the Spacey chinnage he's gaining.

Lawrenson "relegated" by BBC.

Not shown on the MotD presenting list.

Once were Biscuitmen My favourite Olympic 2012 quote was Ian Thorpe being described as, 'a fawn who has run startled through Topshop.'

Gabby Logan, what's the point? We know the Beeb need a token girl but surely there is ex England international who could fill in.

Ian Thorpe was terrific. Not only was he camp in a nice understated way, he was more importantly interesting.

I think Savage is ok because he actually says what he thinks whereas the other are so dull and just tow the middle ground.

The fact that it's usually incoherent rubbish doesn't bother you?

Fair point and never seems to let anyone else disagree..

He also doesn't like us so should we really like him?

I quite like Savage, he may not be the sharpest tool in the box but at least he's prepared to tell the mongs who call into 606 that they are just that.

I see Carragher is going to be a second pundit on MNF this season. Good choice from Sky that (IMO), he came across very well during his punditry for ITV at the last Euros. Just needs to sort his accent out.

Agreed, re Carragher.

Thing is with Savage he still thinks like a player and advocates most forms of (what I consider to be) cheating, which I personally I find somewhat objectionable.

Don't get why Sky are diluting Gary Nevile by having him share airtime with someone i genuinely cannot understand! It was a winning formula why change?

Apart from Red Nev i never sit down and pay attention to what any of them say as they state the obvious!

I bloody love Clarke Carlisle. Hearing him talk about the game, problems and all, is a total pleasure.

He's not just good with numbers (as illustrated on Countdown) he is a very impressive individual and incredibly articulate. He will achieve big things now he has retired. Football must make the best possible use of his immense skills and intelligence.

Really? I'd have thought it would be pretty obvious why they've done it.
