I'm telling you, once they're home they'll relax and start dropping points. The points record is nice, but it's promotion and the title that the players actually care about.

Just look at how many points we dropped in our last 10 games.

10 points dropped, 20/30. 2 points a game.

Up with 6 to play, went unbeaten in those 6 to gain the record (14 from 18)? If anything you could say we struggled to cross the line, drawing 3 of 4 games in March. It was a close call after all, being just 20 points clear of 3rd come game 39.

Nothing to say it won't happen again mate...

Im finding myself more concerened with Leicester/Wolves results at the moment than Reading's.

The 106 record is the best achievement of the club in its history and i will be pretty sad to see it go. Its one of the best records out there, after all accumilating as many league points as possible is the objective of every club every season. Its certainly far from unbeatable though, after all we only beat the old record by 1 point.

SInce 2006 there have been 1101 failed attempts to break the record. I like that stat, puts it into context how great an achivement it was.

We do at least have a chance to defend our own record with Leicester.

I'm just not going to start worrying about it until they break 100 with the ability to still drop points and get it.

Tony Le Mesmer
sputnik At least if they do beat the record we won't be hearing that crappy 106 song anymore.

Chanting that your club has gained more points in one season than anyone in the history of the Football League? That's the only decent chant that we've got!

While I agree it is a decent chant, we have one other decent chant of note - provided Bill Oddie doesn't go the way of virtually every other 1970's tv light entertainment star.

I wouldn't mind that too much actually, given how good they were with us in 2006.

Exactly, think it'd be a good night and hope they're given the whole South Stand, bit like when West Brom came for their viking celebrations.

Absolutely, it would be perfect karma, and I agree give them the whole South stand.

As nice as most of them were, why on earth when we'll very likely to still be in the hunt for a Play off place would we want to fill a whole end with opposition supporters?

There's being fair and there's being doormats.

Unlikely we will sell it as the game is on the TV, makes good sense to have their money.

Remains to be seen but my point is with thinking it would somehow be a good thing if your scenario happened when in all liklihood we'll still have plenty to play for.

Another good alternative would be for Leicester to have the game on a screen at their ground, but that is unlikely as fans really dont get that option very often.
