Christ, this is a tough one. Who do I dislike more...?

Portsmouth to win, if they're not allowed to hold the cup, in case they take it down the pawn shop....

Tottenham to win if a large bird of prey swoops over the dugouts during the match and does a giant shit on Rednapp's head.

Hopefully they'll both get so many players sent off, the match will be abandoned...

if a large bird did a shit on Redknapp's head can you imagine the unbelievably positive press coverage that'd get?

I think it's quite an easy choice. Pompey to dick Spurs to shut that ugly corrupt cock up and then Villa / Chelsea to destroy Pompey in the final. Preferably Villa.

Would that guarantee European football for Pompey next year? Too much of a lifeline for them, I'd say.

Pompey to lose everything in the semi, and go out of business the day after, and Redknapp in tears on the big screen at the final.

I thought Pomey weren't allowed in Europe next year as they haven't been granted the appropriate UEFA license.

Couldn't see this anywhere else on the thread (unlessi t was in the Harry Redknapp article) but ALOL:

BBC Sport Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan says financial reasons caused the omission of Gary O'Neil at Plymouth on Monday.

O'Neil, who has made 99 appearances for Boro, has a clause in his deal triggering a £1m pay-out to former club Portsmouth when he reaches 100 games.

"I do the footballing side; other people do the financial side," Strachan told BBC Tees. "We talked [about O'Neil] and this is the best decision."

Ahhh, I didn't know that. Good. Then yes, them being crushed in the final would be better (even if it is still more income for the club).

Even better was that when Boro were in with a shout of making the playoffs and wanting O'Neil to play they went to Pompey with an offer of £20,000 a game (according to the Boro fan I work with). Pompey told them to stick it. Don't think the administrator is quite getting the idea of bringing in a much money as he can.

How many players have Pompey sold in the last coiple of weeks as that was their only hope of raising cash?

The gift that keeps on giving
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8612358.stm If Pompey do make the final, they may have to do without several of their players, who will be making their final appearances for the club in the semi-final because of expensive trigger clauses in their contracts.

Administrator Andrew Andronikou has revealed that "five or six players" would be eligible for bullet payments if they played another game.

These could be cash payments of up to £100,000 or the guarantee of a contract renewal for next season.

"These bullet payments mean that they can play in the semi-final, but not play another game after it, unless they waiver those payments," said Andronikou.

"That would be tragic for the player if the team is in the FA Cup final, but it will be the players', or their agents', decisions. They are going to have to forfeit those contractual obligations or they cannot play again.

"As the club is in administration and as the administrator, I am not in a position to allow these payments or indeed to allow the players to automatically renew their contracts for next season."

Is it a bit too LOLable that Pompey's new chief exec used to be the FA's head of football integrity or something?

If it wasn't football it would be unbelieveable wouldn't it? A club that has cheated its way to some minor glory by paying players with money it didn't have and at the expense of other teams in the last 3 or 4 years of the Premiership is not likely to be wound up as a result of its actions and is now trying to wriggle its way out of any possible punishment that comes their way.

What next if the FA turn them down, an appeal to the court of human rights or sports arbitration....?

I'm not sure the role of the administrator should be to defer debt to ficticious future owners, as seems to be case according to Richard Hughes. So by defering payments, they are also defering tax and racking up prefered payments if and when Pompey do go titsup.

Horrible club, just fvck off and die. They are like a bad smell.

Already lost faith in English football so would not be shocked to see the FA fail as usual.
