Gartside finally gets his wish of a 39th game.

And a 40th, a 41st......

sandman

sandman Five teams battling to avoid the two available relegation places, three clubs trying to get the last Champions League place and anyone from fourth to tenth could get the two Europa League places. All to be decided in an exciting final weekend in La Liga.

thats unusual though

Not really. Osasuna finished 9th last season and were still in danger of relegation on the final day whilst Sevilla, Athletic and Atleti all finished on the same number of points whilst fighting for the Europa League places.

Yes and Lol @ the Sky panellists saying that because of how events went today the Premier League is the best in the world.
No panellists, events today show how exciting football can be and it's not just in the Premier League.
Down here Poole Town were leading 1-0 in their league play-off final only for Gosport to equalise in the 89th minute and then ,with the help of substitute Steve Claridge, went on to win in extra time.
The 1,700 or so spectators ( a very big crowd for that level) had just as much excitement as people watching City's game today even if millions more were watching.
Football is the excitement, not just Premier League football, and that is why we love the game so much.

Ah but did they have a player elbowing someone before kneeing another up the arse and then attempting to nut someone else - all in the space of a couple of minutes

Family barbecue today, out in the garden and tv positioned by patio doors, whole neighbourhood heard who we were wanting to win when aguero scores. FantastIc entertainment and brilliant advert for premier league.

Some great footage of United fans celebrating until someone mouths to friend "shit they scored"

Barton is an absolute disgrace, but I did LOL at his walk to the tunnel, Balotelli jumping into the fracas, and the commentator saying "Ballotelli getting involved now, would you believe it?"

Yes, yes I would.

I've been told he's a really smart and articulate guy who has massive anger management problems and he knows it. He's tried to control it but will always have a tiny fuse. Personally I still think he's total cock end with far too high an opinion of himself... but I've never met him.

The best. Period.end.of.story. He is legend here for his call of the 2010 US-Algeria WC match. He was immediately promoted/given a long term contract by ESPN to be the lead football announcer for the channel. And being able to watch today's game with him behind the mic made it that much more enjoyable. 8)
