Unless JF has developed some credibility over night, I really wouldn't put too much faith in that report. GS was on our radar as soon as the takeover was ratified. Brian did speak to Sigurdsson, as did Anton and Brian together. Of course none of that can be proved, and as usual no matter what track-records go before anyone, doubters will doubt, but I stand by that 100%. It'll be interesting if he gets direct quotes from the club or not. He said tonight he's been 'asking around' and 'doing some digging'.

I even trust you guys more than Fordham but quotes will be interesting. If Hammond is directly quoted as saying we didn't put a bid in for him, then it all gets very interesting....

I agree entirely. One person who also heard about our interest had it confirmed by three sources, and although he is modest, he is more connected than myself. Quotes will be interesting. I can't imagine why we would deny any interest to save face. If anything you would expect us to say yes we did try, and try and raise the profile of the club further as a result of our ambition.

Make that 5 people. [edit] ------- [edit -------, is credible, and also stands by his comments that we did speak to GS. The thing is, we can't prove anything, and even if JF can't, he has the platform to get his story across. It'll be an interesting read. One to look forward to tomorrow when I get in.
