I feel the Sunday Suppliment is more deserving of it's own damning thread

Must say that was a heck of a lot better than last week. Much more football, Dixon given the time to do his excellent analysis, no music over the interviews and keep the jokey sequences to just the one with Kevin Day.

Sort out the title sequence, drop the theme tune singalong idea, tear up Robbie "Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky, Sparky" Savage's phone number and we'll be there.

In comparison yes. Which part(s), for you, were poorer than the first week?

I don't think it was poorer, just not better. Are they going to send that failed comedian out to patronise Blackpool every week? I will never accept Murray as a football host either, any more than I'd accept Glastonbury highlights presented by the crisp salesman from the Saturday night version.

The title sequence is simply awful; why intercut images of players like Matthews, Best and Moore who never played in the Premiership and who competed for a different trophy?

As for Colin Murray, does anybody really think that if he had a Home Counties accent he would be presenting the show? Of course not; the Beeb are so keen to be seen as all inclusive that it is at the exclusion of home counties presenters. In fact I can only think of 1 "Southerner" accent that presents football - Martin Keown.
