Why on earth start a thread stating the bleedin' obvious.
Yet another penalty masks yet another wimpish display away from home today as they spend the last 10 minutes desperately playing out time.
When the mighty Blackpool go to Old Trafford next Saturday they have a chance to Beat Man Utd's away win record for the season and at worst equal it.
Such is the magnitute of Man Utd's achievement this season.
Frightened little softies when they don't have 70,000 or so behind them.
Champions-yes
Anything special-no

Wasn't a penalty either :| the ball was practically out of play by the time he hit the deck

Without doubt the most successful football franchise in the UK. You have to applaud the Glazers for leveraging a fan base that was being under charged for the sustained success that they have enjoyed. They have deftly managed the 'green and gold' and 'red knight' campaigns into the ground nicely and seem set to drive yet more incremental revenue in the coming years.

sorry, just cannot grasp the concept of non Mancunians supporting any Manchester team (nor any team where you have no birthplace or current/past dwelling links).

I supported Leeds Utd in their heyday back in the early 1970's....but then I turned 11

Rather them than Chelsea tho'

From an expanding your customer base point of view the fact that Man utd have always had a culture of drawing support from all over the country is handy. It started off with Catholics who did not want to support the local Protestant team and went on from there.

laughable. A Liverpool fan talking about frightened softies and shit away records. Ferguson is the finest British manager ever without doubt. Mind you, Southern based Man U fans are still posturing homos.

Not really correct to call it a franchise is it? How many Manchester United's do you know?

It will end United still have to service the Glazer debt. 250 million in interest alone. They will need a keeper replacements for Scholes and Giggs. And Ferdinand is on his last legs. The title next year will be between Abramovich and Mansor to see who can waste the most money.

Well done United. A team that wins mainly with decorum. Schole, Giggs true legends of of the game.

Most successful team in England.

You really ought to get a free transfer to Man Utd.
BTW is the implication of your post that other teams, such as Chelsea, don't win with decorum?

In your lifetime?
I doubt it now that other clubs in England alone with have the spending power that man utd have had for so many years.
In fact with all their spending you could say that they have underperformed in only having 3 wins to their name, the latest 2 of which could not have been more jammy.

People like yourself, are a bit simple if you hate a team just because they're successful.

I said 'football', not 'Manchester utd' franchise; so I fail to see your point here.

And in this case it was short-hand to refer to clubs bought as investments rather than for reasons of self-indulgence or self-publicity.

There are 3 teams that I like in world football.
Liverpool
Barcelona
Reading.
I don't hate any of them, the first two being incredibly successful and the 3rd being very successful at it's own level.
Simple enough for you?

Not that this is particularly pertinent to argue but incorrect use of franchise - whether placed before/after/inconjunction with a particular industry - still is incorrect.
