Stranded Wikipedia has Wales listed in the bottom pot.
Indeed, but with the following caveat:
Given the June 2011 FIFA Ranking and results during this month, pot seeding is expected to be as follows.
So nothing concrete yet, hence my point.

sheshnu How many countries in the bottom few (expected) pots have got as many players as Wales who play in one of Europe's top leagues? How have they managed to be so consistently terrible? Admittedly for every Craig Bellamy there's a Jermaine Easter, but their first team surely isn't one of the worst in Europe (on paper).

cmonurz Because we don't lose much. And we beat most of the teams we should.
If you think about it, our dismal championship campaigns are based around (in the main) beating or sometimes drawing with lesser teams and then losing one match to a half-decent side. Then we ace qualifying again, then beat some lesser teams, then lose one match to a half-decent side.

That would mean a 7am start in Rio, so not sure that's right.

What I'd like:
Norway, Slovenia, Belarus, Georgia, Macedonia, Wales
What we'll no doubt end up with (or something along the same lines):
Spain, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Finland, Wales

T.R.O.L.I. WaLOLes
The final Fifa world rankings before the 2014 World Cup qualification draw make bad reading for Wales.
Despite climbing two places to 112th, Wales have been overtaken by the Faroe Islands and will be among the sixth and last Uefa seeds in Saturday's draw.
