Backup? Depends on how good or bad Morrison looks I suppose (plus anyone else we can/can't get in too).
We're looking at someone else, who I presumed to be first choice.
Morrison is not ready yet, people forget he's only 20. He's been bought in with an eye on his potential and the future not as a starter.
as said, provided he can stay Injury free, Id be happy with this!
Zac, I think you're probably right about Morrison not being ready but I hope the club agree and that the un-named defender is someone to come in and immediately command a starting place.

I agree, I said in another thread I think he will have something to prove & this could be potentially his final contract at a decent club

Apparently Sonko refused to play v Northampton as it was beneath him so moved on quickly.
Now confirmed by pompey. 1 year deal. Its tommy smith all over again.
