gazzer, loyal royal sky are saying that a lot the footage is copyrighted, so any EPL logo or grpahics are copyrighted, so it is an infringement of copy right laws.

i'm not quite sure how it will all work.

Some marketing specialist on the radio yesterday was saying that all Sky need to do is embed their logo and music (which is copyrighted) in such a way that it becomes very expensive for the Greek broacaster to remove. This he reckons would provent them broadcasting legally in the UK.

I'm no marketing, legal or tecnology specialist so I have no idea if he is right or not.

Not sure how that would work, because it's not Sky's product being broadcast in Greece that's the question. It's content that it's legitimate to buy and show in Greece that is being shown here - and that Sky can't restrict where it's shown across the EU as long as it's been properly purchased in one of the member states.

The real question surely is, who do they have to pay off to get things their own way?
