It's more suitable and looks better but they should have done it 100 odd years ago. Cardiff fans are understandably defintiely rattled by this.

No doubt they will miss the key point that the Malaysians have spunked up the cash to pay off all the debts to Langston and Hamman.

With the new backing I can see them being in the prem with a couple of years.

The owners thought hang on, this really isn't going down well with the fans. Nah, f**k it!

A local paper in Cardiff ran a simple yes or no poll and 70% of response was in favour of the change. Plus the Cardiff away kit will be blue so fans won't really miss out ....

Not as i they'll be playing in pink with NOBO across their chest is it?

It's the principal really. If you stump up cash you can do what you want. The owners clearly wanted to buy the welsh franchise but were alarmed by Swansea's new red away kit in the premierlg. Hopefully TSI want organic growth not drastic change!

"Fire and Passion" sounds like the slogan of a High Street curry house.

How will the re branding appeal to international markets? Trying to make Cardif in to the Welsh national team? So they change to red but have a blue stadium inside and out?

Quote from a friend of mine who's a die hard Cardiff fan

Cardiff City are Welsh, not Asian! I don't want Karate Kid or the worlds tallest man wearing Cardiff tops..or that little kid in Indiana Jones on that note!

Cardiff City have announced that they will play in red from now on, with a dragon as their logo. When this idea leaked some time ago, there was massive opposition to the idea from fans, causing the owners to do a little back-tracking and reportedly ditching the idea. However, today, the club has announced the change. A spokesman said, "We were aware of concerns raised by fans, so called an emergency board meeting to discuss their feelings and everybody there agreed - F#ck 'em! It's our club and it's none of their business what colour we wear!". He continued, "If these idiots have some kind of 'blue' fetish, they can pis$ off and watch the rugby team instead! Let's face it, our fans are to$$ers anyway, so we'll be better off without them!"
