Edit: the offences are after his sending off, the kick at Aguero and the butt at Kompany. Add four games for the red card, and this could be a huge ban.

I'd guess at 12 - 15 games meaning he's going to miss about a third of the season.

FTR, David Prutton got 10 games for his red card which included the charges of failing to leave the field of play promptly after a red card and the use of threatening words and/or behaviour towards a match official.

Barton's is worse. I think, of Ian's prediction, the higher end is more realistic.

15 would be stupidly over the top. While he was obviously stupid, If the opposition players didn't roll around on the floor and the rest crowd around having a drama it wouldn't look like such a big deal
