In cup fixtures you kind of need to frimmers, that's how it works.

Two legged ties went out some seasons ago now.

Franchise FC The 13'ers

PL - 2
Liverpool (next - home to Man Utd next Sunday)
Tottenham (next - away to Arsenal on Sunday)

Liga Una - 2
Leyton Orient (next - away at Colchester next Saturday)
Peterborough (next - home to Crawley next Saturday)
(If we win at their place tonight I'd like to count it !!)

Liverpool and the O's fight on, but Posh fall by the wayside.

Arsenal/Spurs up next.

The 13'ers are down to 2

PL - Liverpool (next away at Swansea on 16th)

Liga Una - Leyton Orient (next home to Port Vale on 14th - not sure why they're not playing next week; can only assume that they've got some internationals  )

The 106'ers

Too early for anyone to have fallen in this race yet, although Sunderland and West Brom need to win the rest to achieve 106.

Think I'll give this one a rest for a few weeks

Just Leyton Orient to go

Thanks to the Swans - most notably JJ Shelvey - at both ends

They're not even close yet. Might start to worry if they win next3, but they've had as easier set of fixtures as you could get.

Fixtures:
8. Brentford A
9. Walsall H
10. Oldham A
11. MK H
12. Tranmere A
13. Coventry A
14. Rotherham H

TBH, if the 13 in a row record was to be beaten, I would prefer it to be club like Orient rather than a Premier League giant (even if Hearn is a bit of a tool)

I am, all of a sudden, a Brentford fan

Come on you Bees !!

p.s. I'd rather it wasn't beaten at all thanks very much

If Orient do manage to equal the 13, I'll take solace as probably being the only person on the planet to have watched at least one match from both Reading & Orient's runs.

be realistic here though, its still very very unlikely. How many times in the history of the FL have teams racked up 7 wins on the bouce? Hundreds. How many have gone on to make it 14? Three, the last one being over 60 years ago, the one before that was over 100 years ago.

Not going to happen.

True enough. Especially as, if they get closer and closer to it, the publicity, attention and pressure will ramp up on them.

Given that Walsall and Brentford are involved in both records I doubt it Alex.

Bollox! You're quite right! I need to reword the whole tenuous thing ... or alternatively just quietly drop-it.
