RoyalAuzzie Aus v S Korea final after both sides beat UAE and Iraq respectively 2-0. Should be an interesting one. The auzzie public are really getting behind the socceroos and this tournament with stadium and TV audiences far exceeding expectations.

Don't know whereabouts you are RoyalAuzzie but its almost gone unmentioned over here (possible exaggeration but its definately not been heavily featured anywhere). Think the local sporting public are pissed off that Perth didn't get a game, that and the time difference to here means kick off's are just that little bit too early to make them good for watching. Shame really.

Ah yes. Quite surprised Perth didn't get a game I reckon they would've turned out a few numbers. Same with Adelaide aswell, seems a bit harsh on you guys IMO.

To be fair I think they didn't expect much out of the tournament but it is gaining excitement here in Sydney and apparently they're expecting 80000 at ANZ for the final!

I more shocked that 19,000 turned out in Canberra to watch Iran vs Iraq. I'd have been happier if a few more matches weren't exclusive to Fox or shown with a ridiculous delay.

40,000 tickets sold for the final before Tuesday night, and 10,000 tickets sold in the two hours after full time. Glad I got my tickets a few weeks ago.

I've been following this competition pretty closely (Free to air games on Chinese TV) but won't get to see the final (or the 3rd/4th play off) as I'll be on my way to the UK.

I've been picking Aussie to win from day 1 (And I still think they will). But that display against the UAE was very unconvincing (As, to be honest, was their quarter-final Vs China). Aussie dominated their group games; even the Korean game that they lost. But, in the knockout stage, they've not been very impressive. Hopefully; they will find form and fuck the Koreans this time (Nothing is worse than an obnoxious Korean thinking that he has achieved something remotely meaningful).

Socceroos win 2-1 in ET thanks to James Troisi's 105th min winner.
Korea equalised in 91st min so impressive fight back by aus to get the momentum back.
Massimo Luongo of Swindon scored a beaut to open scoring and was named player of the tournament, a stunning rise and I'm sure top clubs would have been taking note.
Great achievement from this young Australia side lead excellently by Ange Postecoglou who's fast paced passing style of play is really starting to reap rewards.
Watched by 76000 in Sydney so great support and a fantastic tournament overall.
Asian football looks to be on the up again with young sides with big futures starting to step up to the plate such as Australia, S Korea, Japan and Iran will be back alongside new exciting teams such as UAE and Uzbekistan.
Next up for the socceroos a friendly against the world champions in Germany.
Not bad for a side ranked 100th.
