TheMaraudingDog Just watching United over the years I've seen saves at least on a par with Banks. I think that save got so much respect due to the occasion and fact it was from Pele. Even last night Zhieler* pulled a better save off in United reserves, a point blank power header in the corner.

Best save I've seen never gets any mention at all, but it was unbelievable, phenomenal. Kusczack at St Andrews last year. A powerful shot from 18 yards sends Kusczack one way, about 10 yards left for the ball to travel and Kusczack is pretty much on the floor covering the shot, it gets deflected and Kusczack somehow springs up the opposite way and tips it around the post.

Just love reading this description and then watching the clip - Was expecting Superman in goal diving one way and then the over.....His feet did not bloody move!!

Post of the week for exaggeration!!!

Wasnt Peskydodah offside there, not that it changes the save being good.

I saw this game live on TV. The referee clearly blew his whistle long before it reached Higuita, so he knew it wouldn't count even if it went in.

Seaman vs Sheffield United, and Peter Bolesław Schmeichel vs anyone in the 90's.

I once saw one by Paul Jones from Teddy Sheringham at Old Trafford - might have been the 3-3 game where Taibi had his shocker.

Anyway, Sheringham hits a left-footed volley from about 6 yards and Jones dives back towards his line and someone manages not just to keep it out but also to get it over the bar.

I was :o

can't believe no one hasn't mentioned smith's when we played nottingham forest this year. I was right behind it and, still to this day, have no idea how he saved it

Seem to recall Nicky Hammond producing a quite incredible save in the FA Cup - similar to Banks' v Pele, think it was in Reading's replay v Cardiff back in 1998. Anyone else recall this?

Does anyone remember Simon Sheppard doing an overhead kick to keep out a backpass?
