As for Savage ALLEGEDLY waving parts of his anatomy at the Forest fans, there is no evidence this happened, and even if it did I'd quite like to know what the Forest fans had been chanting at him first, if anything.

Surely you can't be insinuating there could ever be any justification for this alleged behaviour?

Depends on the exact circumstances really. If it was before the game, during the warm up, the whole thing becomes less serious. It also depends on exactly what parts of his anatomy we're talking about. I've only seen balls mentioned on this thread.

If for example he'd been getting abuse and made some sort of cupping his ear - i can't hear you gesture, that would be fine. If he waved his arse (inside shorts) at them, I don't see a big problem. If he gestured to his arse as in "kiss it", again, fine as long as he was smiling.

If the Forest fans had been chanting about him being dickless or having no balls - something similar to that, then a smile and a bit of cupage, I have little issue with.

I'd draw the line at dropping his shorts, giving the finger, the two fingered salute or the oxf*rd sign. It's a bit less likely those would be done light heartedly though.

As I said. It's all about context and I'm not about to condemn someone for something with so little details, when everything I've seen shows him acting in an exemplary fashion.

LOL! 'Footballer shows some passion' shocker! Seriously, if we were talking about Robin Friday doing something like that, he would be a 'legend'

You kunts on here never fail to amuse me

Imagine if Noel Hunt or anyother Reading player did that running past a South Stand full of Oxford fans after we'd just won an enthralling early season local derby. How would you feel then?

Simple really. We'd have thought, Noel Hunt...... What an Idiot!

It's only immature fools who will change their opinions due to the colour of the shirt being worn.

Completely agree RR.

He might be a hero to some forest fans, but the rest of football would class him as a prize idiot, I'm sure even half their support think that as well.

How many people remeber the abuse the Gas gave Jamie Cureton???

We don't now if Tyson got dogs during the game so we can't judge whether or not that was a reaction. However, with football behaviour on and off the pitch very much in the spotlight this last week it does make you wonder just what goes on in peoples heads.

If fans dish out verbals during the game then don't get upset when a player takes the piss.

Why would tyson have got abuse and secondly if you do- you don't pick up a corner flag and celebrate at full time.

You might make a few gestures or celebrate in front of them but LOL at picking up a corner flag and waving it like a tit.

Agreed about Tyson being a complete pillock but as for Robbie "Nathan Tyson should have a good look at himself" Savage - people in glass houses, Robbie

Fair enough - I had read it as Savage actually bearing part of his anatomy, be it his arse, cock or balls, whatever. Clearly if he has stayed covered up there isn't much of a case to answer.

Whether it's Tyson for Forest or Hunt for Reading or whoever, I'd have the same opinion. Legend.

Not enough stuff like this happening in football IMO, it's fantastic to see things boil over particularly in a local derby.

I'm on BF's side here. Doobs will always be a legend in my mind after goading the Cardiff fans when A-Fed scored. I'd rather the players showed passion, than for them not to give a oxf*rd about the club and it's rivalries.

All fans will be fickle on this.

If a Derby play had done it to Forest fans, they would have loved it.

Same with Reading, as someone said. If Nhunt or A.N. Other did it, you'd laugh. If an opposing player did it, you'd call for his head.

I am really very surprised that the last 2 posters would view it as acceptable / amusing if a Reading player were to wave a flag in front of the opposition supporters after a close fought local derby victory.

It just isn't.

Did I say it was acceptable?

I said that in the reverse situation, the Derby fans would say Forest were overreacting.
