Well if am in the country sounds good. Although there's also the Irish game to watch if they have a chance of qualifying. If they do I think an Irish pub in the centre might be a better bet (have mates who support the boys in Green).

probably the toughest draw we could have got (thank you fifa) and trap not selecting some of our better players doesn't help so I am not hopeful, but you never know, may throw down a huge bet, 3 grand on france at 1/3 and then I'm a winner whatever happens

Just supposing France had qualified, leaving Serbia to play off, and Portugal had qualified, leaving Denmark second, does anyone believe that FIFA would then have seeded the play-offs? Serbia and Denmark - no big names and FIFA couldn't give a flying f about them. Tough, they can knock each other out.

Disgraceful. Even UEFA get the top team to play second in the knockout stages of the CL. They don't say, oh, we want Barcelona and Real Madrid in the later stages so we'll fix the draw. They did it more subtly though, leaning on the Chelsea ref to ensure they didn't get to the final. And if you think this is a crackpot conspiracy theory, come back in a few years when it's all water under the bridge and the truth will come out. It emerged a few years ago that Forest had been cheated out of a European Final by a bent ref, but it didn't come out till it was too late to do anything about it. But come out it did.

'greed with you 1960. And when you consider that the head honcho at UEFA is a Frenchman, it's no f**king surprise.

There's a reason why France did not qualify directly from their group. Serbia were the better side and convincingly so. And France are no great shakes. Personally, I am happier with what we got than if we'd got Russia although, having said that, I stick with the idea that we'll go out. By a single goal in the end though - 1-2 in Dublin and a brave draw over there.

Agree about the draw, its one step short of a fix. its on the same level as the Calciopoli scandel. No game was actually fixed as such, but the system was maniplulated to favour a certain team.

But as for the Chelsea.Barca comparison, thats rubbish im afraid. Barca played with 10 men, the sending off being a wrong decision that massively favoured Chelsea. And then of course there is the arguement that the English big 4, Real etc are cheating everytime they play. By spending hundreds of millions that they dont have, nor a debt that they can sustain on there own back. But thats a whole new arguement.
