Rodgers is still an exceptional coach, getting headhunted by Mourinho and Chelsea was some achievement and he'll come back stronger. He made the final 2 shortlist for the Leicester job when Pearson was appointed, he was considered good enough for Watford and ourselves so he'll come back. I hope his experience doesn't affect his respect and support for Reading because he is a really good bloke, cares passionately about this club and I hope he's back in football soon.

History suggests that if he does not get a new job within months - he will struggle to get one at all.

I really hope someone takes a risk with him and if so I still think we may live to regret this decision.

It'd be pretty funny if Sheffield Wednesday appointed him and he kept them up at our expense.

That clearly isn't going to happen. They have less money than we do.

I wouldn`t be surprised to see him take over at Cheltenham town. Good luck in whatever he does.

At least they've got a knowledgeable fanbase and some forwards though.

Is Coppell still in the States playing Golf with his son?
Perhaps Brenda Bodgers can caddy?
Might learn something?

Yeah they were so knowledgeable a couple of years ago when we were 2-0 up against them and they booed their team off at half time whilst calling for the managers head. End result they won 3-2 and were singing the names of the manager and team at the end of the match.

The point is football fans are fickle. We're all reactionary idiots not just Reading fans.Reading fans seem to be neurotic about what other groups of supporters do that is different to them.

this

and regrettably....

Rev Algenon Stickleback H As you get older it's hard enough to take realising all of the players are younger than you, but when the manager is younger than you, you really feel age creeping up.
