Pseud O'Nym Cameroon won their away leg against Gabon. If they win the home leg on Wednesday then Bikey may well get his wish.

Quite impressed with the England performance so far. Didn't really rate us in the last friendly, but we're looking pretty good.

Admittedly against a Croatian team on the slide playing badly. Although I think it would be fair to say we're actually forcing them out of the game rather than just being made to look good by them.

I know Heskey has now missed two one on ones, but I think he's actually playing a pretty key role in our good play. I'd rather start with him and have players more likely to score come on later if need be. He seems to bring out the best in the rest of the team and offer something a little different.

soggy biscuit Armenia beating BeLOLgium

And thus it ended.

Jeez, remember when the latter were, I dunno --pretty good?

Turks just about out of the picture in that same Group 5 after drawing away to Bosnia-Herzegovina, who remain in second four points better than Turkey with two left to play.

Spain host Estonia tonite and are poised to win the group as any result would do.

Slovenia battering Poland in Group 3, and if Slovakia hold on at Windsor Park, that's the end of any chance the Poles would have of winning the group, and the same goes for the Czechs.

soggy biscuit 2nd leg of the play offs between Saudi Arabia & Bahrain tonight, first leg was 0-0

1-1 at half time, a draw would send Bahrain through to play New Zealand in a play off game to see who goes to South Africa

Not sure why the commentators were criticising Johnson for the Croatia goal. Yes the guy got in a decent cross, but wingers are going to get crosses in every now and then. I'd be rather more worried about Terry and Upson ball watching leaving Eduardo in acres of space with no pressure.

They didn't exactly cover themselves in glory with the pinball in the box either. Great save from Green the first time, very well done to get down to the second, though once he'd got there could have maybe done a little better.

Think Johnson got away with the penalty shout because Eduardo seemed to be making no effort to get on the end of the cross. Could very easily have been a penalty though.
