It'll be very interesting how the huge loss of earnings due to missing out on the Champions League will have on the club with players leaving, players not wanting to come, manager change etc.

They have debts where by they must sustain CL football. You have to wonder if they miss out on the top four this season, where Liverpool are heading.

Speaking with my red friend last week he's convinced Rafa will be off in the summer but that there's more chance Stevie G will be off than Torres. Rumours are rife that he's already stated his intent with drafts of his transfer request flying around various cronies.

They are a huge club and will remain so, even if they finish outside of fourth, all that is required is a takeover and that apparently is imminent.

Won't take what bet? If someone offers fair odds I'll consider it, but having not had a bet for a good few years I very much doubt I'd be tempted.

Liverpool are a disaster waiting to happen, but I don't hate the club at all - I dislike the manager and the captain but, although it would be quite amusing, I have no particular wish to see a once-great football club facing ignominy which, if things aren't sorted out and sharpish, they might well do.

Couldn`t be bothered to trawl the whole thread, but this is the worst Liverpool squad since the mid-90`s (Souness era). I have to say I cannot stand Liverpool - they seem to think that they are still at the top table when Blackburn and Leeds have won the league more recently than `The Reds`. They have a misplaced sense of entitlement due to past glories (2 very fluky cup wins in 2005 + 6 notwithstanding), and are getting further and further behind Chelsea and Man Utd with every year. This will get progressively worse as they are basically skint (the talk of their new ground has gone very mute in the last 6 months), I can`t see Torres staying next year if they don`t get in the CL, I hope for his own and Englands sake Gerrard would also leave, the rest, perhaps Reina apart, are just a bunch of mainly foreign 2nd or 3rd raters who probably can`t believe their good fortune to be playing in the upper reaches of the PL for a so-called `Big 4` team. Where are the home grown players Liverpool always seemed to produce ? Why do the Kop always say `In Rafa we Trust` ? I hope Spurs or Man City do get 4th place, how will that leave Liverpool then ?

Who's fault is it that Liverpool finish 4th nearly every season, spend a lot of money on transfers and acheive sweet f.a....BENITEZ.

Yes, Liverpool do have one of the worst squads in there history but at the same time I can't help but think that they must have some of most blind supporters in the world.
