Pepe the Horseman Just stuck some money on Pards to be next manager to go at 6/1. Don't think that price will be available for long

St. Brynjar At 4-1 down tonight McClaren took charge of the team, gave the talk and made a few subs, and they drew 4-4. Very early days but that's not a bad start.

Uke Clough and Yorkshire
What could possibly go wrong?
If Weir hadn't been been spotted leading a double life dicking about in a wheelchair pretending to be disabled he'd probably still have his job.

So losing 7 of their first 10 league games and got knocked out of the Johnstones Paint trophy by Hartlepool in midweek had nothing to do with it? His post match interview in midweek was very much in the manner of someone who new his number was up.
Been on the cards for weeks, expecially with their new owner promising Premiership football within 5 years.

As you say, only a start, but it highlights why Sunderland had to get rid of Di Canio. You can have the best tactician in the world, but if the players won't play for the boss, you may as well not bother taking to the pitch. Whatever McClaren said, the players went out there fired up and with something to prove. If you could just bottle that...
