Lucas Akins hasn’t played for Mansfield since last season. Incident happened while he was playing for Huddersfield in 2022. He’s now got 7 months in clink plus another 7 months out on licence to look forward to, not to mention the year’s ban from driving. Given he’s now 36 it’s a bit of a different way to retire.
