stealthpapes Brosef must have had a field day in mid-May on a few threads in AE.

I was genuinely delighted...not so much the actual result but the delta between reality and expectation

Whilst it's easy to focus on Jose and his antics and Bodgers sacking it's also important to remember that Arseanal absolutely battered yoonited in that first half.

Lovely stuff.

(like Chelsea) Lovely to see that money and popularist foreign names doesn't guarantee a proficient team.

Carrick and Rooney have looked absolutely terrible this season. Rooney especially so

Reminds me of the period Shearer had that led to him quitting Internationals (he regained his form after that tbf)

Man Utd 0-0 Man City

Christ what a bore fest.

The commentary team making out it was all about great defending are talking bollocks - it was utter shite with hardly a single attack of note or a single moment of quality from either side.

As for Rooney - every time I see him he is useless. Cannot control the ball, cannot beat a man, cannot pass forwards, and cannot get a shot off. He's becoming a luxury / liability / passenger / obstacle for Man Utd and it really is about time LVG (and Hodgson) realises it.

55% passing accuracy for Rooney today, no shots on target, no chances created, lost the ball five more times than any other player.

But remember, the Premier League is the best in the world.

As for Rooney, he still looks a stone overweight to me. I suppose he's been using some of that £300k a week to buy some snacks on his way to the training ground.

People are quick to forget Rooney has scored against Ipswich, Sunderland and San Marino this season.

£250m+ spent... can't get out of a Champions League group featuring Wolfsburg, Eindhoven and CSKA.

They might end up being England's best team too.

Just how bad a standard has the PL become?? :o

Utd can't qualify for the knockout stages, Arsenal will probably follow suit, and I wouldn't put it past Chelsea to fcuk up tonight as well.
Oh, and Leicester are top.

It's looking rosy, that's for sure. But these things go in cycles, a couple of years ago everyone was talking about how Germany would domin8 club football for years to come, now it's back to Spain again. It'll be fine, I mean an English side even won the Champions League three years ago
