Currently depositing funds to Betfair, the iPhone Betfair app is bloody marvellous.

I've predicted a Mexico win on the officiaLOL match thread, but am coming round to a decent performance by the home team; their final warm-up win over Denmark isn't to be sniffed at, and of course they will have a cauldron of noise in Soccer City behind their every touch. Unbeaten in 12/15 games depending what article I read, but it's a decent run, even if the opposition haven't been world class.

Mexico wound up their preparations by beating Italy 2-1; we saw they can cause problems when they played England, but it's arguable their defence is prone to lapses.

South Africa will go 4-5-1, and I think both teams will be cagey,and one goal could seal it, but I'm going to back a low-scoring draw, with a saver on a narrow South Africa win.

Opened up my Laddies account last night, deposited £5.00 and got my 4 x £5.00 free bets.

Put my £5.00 on Holland @ 9's, only really cos they are in with a fairly decent shout if they start firing and wanted to get some value rather than the 4's on Spain.

Used another £5.00 for a S.Africa/France double today that returns just over £30.

Put another £5.00 on a 13 game accie that will return silly money, probably wont come in I no but I did something similar in 2002 in the group stage and won £400 quid...its a free bet and just for the LOLz...but if it comes in, good times!

Nice little result earlier, watching the second game now and it's evenly matched, lots of space in defence. Have backed Uruguay in running at 7/2 and over 2.5 goals.

Rouge...what does the 1-1 mean for you?

It probably means an opportunity missed as Mexico should have been out if site by half time. The group is of course all still to play for and a win and a draw would see Mexico top it probably - but their suicidal gung-ho attitude, apparent weakness against the direct long ball and a short keeper gives me more concern than the result does. To be fair to them they may have managed to shut up shop if they went 1-0 up - but it looks unlikely. France v Mexico is huge now for me. I worry about the Mexico defence but they should have 55%+ of the ball against France and they will cause them problems.... - we will see.
