Four Of Clubs QUERY - anyone from Windsor confirm the venue for next Wednesday's B&B Trophy S-F v Flackwell.

... I'm getting potentially conflicting information from the respective league's (Mitoo) websites as well as the Club itself.

... the current issue of the official CCL Bulletin is showing 'Flackwell Heath v Windsor' :?:

Wondered if it had been decided yet?

AFAIK, it's at Flackwell Heath. Will be a tough fixture. They battered us in the Cup when the mercenaries were playing only for Ryan O'Toole to nick the win. How Micky Woodham will fare with the kids will be very interesting viewing. By all accounts, they rode their luck a bit at Epsom & Ewell yet emerged with a hugely impressive 3-1 away win.

...Ta TB (& RR - post EDIT) - like I said reports were conflicting somewhat - I'll keep an eye on it should it go one way or t'other - haven't seen Windsor since that potentially fateful hammering by the 'Sarnies' back in September. Flackwell are on a slight dip of late - their form pattern has been pretty much WLWL for most of the season - have recently sold Cordice to Mar£ow.
On a similar tack, I see the moneybags from Oak Tree Rd have just snapped up Jamie Suarez from Binfield. I'm sure he might help them get back up out of the Hellenic - though they have to implode on a gargantuan scale to blow top spot now - 14 pt lead with 10 games left. Not sure he's the right purchase for the step above - been a great servant to Binfield.

... can't get away from 'Ding til about 13:20 this Sat PM, so looking at short range again for a 'new' ground - most likely in the S.Mids Premier: London Tigers (ex-Kingsbury) v Oxhey Jets - game should be played at Avenue Park next to the A40 nr Greenford.
Tried going once, many years ago, when Bedfont Green owned it and were supposed to play there. Never found the way in  - entrance is actually directly off the A40 eastbound - turned out they weren't playing there that PM anyway - had switched a Bank Holiday fixture to a morning KO @ their opponents (Bedfont !) - ended up watching a League Cup Final at Hanwell. Oddly enough several local NL clubs over the last few years have started their seasons using it and either folded or moved elsewhere - got a reputation for being a woeful surface.

 FoC you really are one of a kind

only the truest NL fan would think a Saturday afternoon watching a game in a ground which can only be accessed by a Motorway with the worst pitch in London, 40 miles from home, would be time well spent

floyd__streete Alex Wall looking the part and will be playing at a higher level soon enough. Could get a game in League 2 at least if he wasn't such a hotheaded chav.

Right on cue, Wall has left to join Luton Town. Good luck, he has the raw ability. Gr8 find for the club, hopefully there will be some good add-ons to the deal.

Even if it was step too far for him, and I suspect it would have been, disappointed not to see him wait and go to a league side - given how close he's come to getting there in the past. Equally pleased though he didn’t end up at another BSS side for the sake of an extra £30 a week.

Hopefully he's done enough to keep us out of the mire this season too

Maidenhead have had a few players move on to pro clubs now haven't they? Who is it that brings them in? Manager? He was in charge of DJ Campbell at Yeading right? Decent record of finding players if its him.

Yep Devante Mackain to Gillingham and a youth player to Barnet have both gone this season. Mackain is back on loan.

Alfie Mawson is currently back on loan from Brentford. There are others Floyde and TLM will add to the list.

Johnson Hippolyte is the ex Yeading manager at the Stripes.

... as mentioned above in the 'Preview' - I did get to Avenue Park for SSMP London Tigers 0-5 Oxhey Jets - surroundings were sparse bordering on grim for STEP05 but slightly better than I expected - at least they had Tinnies in the little bar/tea kiosk and a few bench seats. Makes you wonder how loosely applied some of the Ground Grading regulations can be. This place is deemed acceptable yet for example, a nicely turned out little ground like Holmer Green was ruled as unacceptable for this level and they were demoted from the same division a couple of years ago as a result.
I'd expect Tigers are allowed to remain here as, if necessary, they could revert to Silver Jubilee Park in Kingsbury - where one of their 'founding' clubs used to play. They appear to be a very large 'Sport in the Community' type outfit too - - which would count for them. Together with the 'London Borough of Ealing and Southall Community Alliance', they have recently opened or are about to open a much larger sports complex in Spikes Bridge Park about a mile away to the south. Not sure if they have plans to move the football club there permanently.

Home by 17:45 too - not much after the time I'd get back from games at the MadStad

Royal Rother Answering my own Q here but it's a loan deal.

Forgot to ask my man ITK today but I know for a fact we turned down 2 "substantial" bids from other BSS teams in recent weeks so we'll have done alright out of it.

No shame in todays defeat, we were never expected to get much out of Welling and played superbly - although as the crosses rained in in the first half I couldn't help but think how Wally would have had a field day.

We were the better team for much of the game and scored direct from a corner for our 2nd - which I don't think I've seen before, likewise never heard the PA frantically requesting a qualified official to make themselves known to a steward at half time (following an injury to the ref) - hence some fat lad (not me) running the line in the 2nd half in his tracky bottoms.

I expect the champions elect expected an easier afternoon than having to play the ball into the corner at every oppurtunity through injury time and the home fans going mental at full time

...and for the return fixture you'll probably have more non-paying speccies than paying: - from memory the FG pitch is part of a public recreation ground, enclosed in a mesh fence with big raised grassy banks all round it?

Might even pop down there this Tuesday evening when the S.Kilburn posse are in town. 8)

...that's if I don't get lost south of the A30 - as I often do when heading that way.

South Park 3-0 Windsor

Not very good at all, more new faces. I think we're up to 84 players now this season. Our young talisman, 17 yo Harry Pearse limped off after 15 mins. Hopefully it was a precaution but it didn't look good unfortunately. We need him, and at least 2 more regulars back for Wednesday's semi against Flackwell Heath otherwise it'll be a very tough night I suspect.

Farnborough are on the brink of administration again by all accounts. Bailiffs turned up to their last home game and tried to take the gate receipts! 10 points deduction would put them in the relegation zone.

Royal Rother South Park 3-0 Windsor

B&B Trophy Semi Final results:

Tue: Ascot 0-2 Aylesbury Utd :(
Wed: Windsor 2-3 Flackwell Heath - att 209 - queued to get in!
- ref started late anyway so I missed nowt - his performance was generally observed to get worse from then on - particularly for home fans.
I thought it was a very enjoyable game even so - Flackwell are experienced and very well drilled - if short of pace. Their all round guile and craft eventually did for the younger quicker home side. I only hope they take that kind of performance to the Final @ Chesham FC on Tue 16th April, as it will make for a good game against the Ducks. Problem is they can be infuriatingly inconsistent - often beat the better sides in the Hellenic Prem then trip up against the strugglers. Maybe the occasion will gee them up as I think it did on Wed.
Was impressed with Windsor too - but constant chopping and changing the personnel can't help - did get a really well worked 2nd goal late on to make it 2-2 - the one and only time the Flackwell Heath back four were caught square - up until then their offside trap snared Windsor at regular intervals.
- at that point I was convinced that youth and pace would prevail - especially had the tie gone the extra 30'. With that in mind, I think Flackwell regrouped and threw everything forwards in a sh!t or bust effort - maybe knowing they wouldn't have the legs for ET. They won a series of corners and free-kicks on the edge of the box - ironically scoring very late in injury time (I reckon around 94') with a fast break down the left.

Hope Ascot can regroup for their big Vase Tie tomorrow - if it stops bleedin' raining round here? 8)
EDIT - Pitch Inspection this PM @ 16:00h

..Oh and I did get to Frimley G 2-1 S.Kilburn on Tue eve (just - as usual got lost in Frimley! ) good tussle FG stay top.
- SK were big and ugly - have a very poor reputation in CCL circles - not sure they were angels in the Hellenic recently either: - real shame as underneath all of the bitterness, back-biting, griping & continual moaning from the sidelines at the officials and simmering menace is a really capable side trying to get out. FG kept their heads however - played their own way and deservedly held on for three points. SK midfielder finally caused the ref to unravel - got a 2nd Yellow late on for disputing a series of decisions - lots of unpleasant afters on FT too. :?
