Doesn't that often happen when a manager gets sacked? Chelsea are/were still paying Di Matteo for example.

Royal Lady Are we paying McD £800,000 a year because we couldn't afford to pay him off in one go when we sacked him???

Makes more sense as you get further income over that period of time to help balance it off.

This is also the ramblings of a possibly drunk, Italian crook. hardly gospel.

And with Sven when he left England I think.

It would depend on the terms of the agreement I imagine.

I think you might've been right with Sven though. I seem to remember he only went back into work once he went past the date his England contract was due to run out.

Ginger Ninjas Ridiculous, I know a decent Leeds fan and feel sorry for him, but that club is a complete joke.

Not surprised that we're still paying Brian 800k a year, but Leeds giving Noel Hunt £25k/week to run around a bit is laughable, no wonder the Leeds fans don't like him!

The word doing the rounds at Leeds is that as Hunt was on a 'free' and as McDermott was so desperate to get him, he claimed that he had to give Hunt a high wage to beat all the competition for his services. No one can find out who 'all the competition' were though. Hunt must be the most overpaid player in the history of football.

They just got a 93rd min pen to draw level.....and missed it.

Presumably they are in real danger of going down if the winding up order is issued over the next 5 weeks & they get 10 points taken off?

As it stands, if they did lose 10pts they'd be 21st and 2 points ahead of Barnsley who have a game in hand.

Yep they are fcuked if that happens. What are the rules regarding admin then?

If they manage to stall it until say June, would the FL adjust the previous season's placings or would it carry over to next season?

As Leeds have already been in Administration previously, would the penalty for entering again be much higher? Isn't that what happened to Luton a few years back? Hopefully a 20 point deduction this season followed by a -17 start next season could be funny.
