What an end to a season. I've not watched Soccer saturday on a final day for years too.

All the above crapness diluted somewhat in the FL though. Cannot wait for August.

Ouch! Brentford's penalty miss and then Donny's winner seconds later cost this chap £110k.

Watford have to fancy themselves for that second auto spot now. Hull still to play Cardiff. One point the gap.

Yeah, but aren't Hull at home to a Cardiff team already on the beach. I remember Birmingham City away last season.

Considering Posh lost their first 7(?) games, it's amazing they go into the final day with it in their own hands.

P'boro winning tonight just tops off a fanstastic days football. Surprises all over the place.

Irate Wolves fans ripping up their own seats, kicking hoardings, kicking stewards, and punching holes through the dugouts and almost certainly down next weekend is the cherry on the icing on the cake. What a great weekend!

Rotherham pitch invasion for the second goal was a thing of beauty and brought memories flooding back of ours when Quinn scored his second against Brighton at home in 94

Yes, it was very old school.

Let's hope Brentford get up via the play-off's.

As for Wolves, it's brightened up a really shitty season.

Agreed, but what was that penalty taker thinking! I don't adhere to the idea that penalties are a lottery. he was bricking himself and just walloped it, they shouldn't have such a bottle job for a penalty taker.

He wasn't even meant to take it. They had agreed that Kevin O'Connor would take any pens and Trotta grabbed it off him.

As the manager said.."It's hard to put into words.
"The whole group had to respond because the whole group knew who I selected to take the penalty - which was Kevin O'Connor. As a whole group we have to make sure that message will be followed.

Brentford manager looked like he'd been in tears before he was interviewed in the football league show.

Hope they win the playoffs.

Yeah, after that I'm behind 'em 100%. Credit to Doncaster but that's just cruel.

SPARTA Brentford miss a last minute penalty and Donny score on the break and are champions.

windermere_royal Have Watford got any players they actually own?..will be interesting if they go up because the loan reulations will change considerably

We do:

The loan rules might well change but hopefully we can sign up 3/4 of the key loan players on a pernament basis.

Anyway still going to be tough to get up as not sure how motivated Cardiff will be and I'd back Brighton for the play-offs.

If we aren't going up I look forward to visiting you guys - hopefully the matches will be more entertaining!?
