3 veesinarow Know that, m9, but you seem to be on the clicker for El Nino, only seems fair to compare like for like whenever you choose a moment in time, like every time Torres scores.

Torres will still have had twice as many competitions to try to score in as his fellow countryman.

Compare like for like? At 50m that would be the entire Scottish Premiere League. Let's see:

Tores - 12
Entire Scottish Premiere League - 274

Seasons not over yet, though.

Why the funny faces? Michu might get as few as 42-43 games in a maximum season, Torres could have 60 in all competitions and he still won't score as many.

Like for like - Spanish, no.9. Premier League striker, player in the singular. You can say one's £50m and one's £2m if you like, but one is out-performing the other right now (not the season's end) and it ain't Mr Expensive.

3 veesinarow Torres - £50m - 12 goals in League, Capital One Cup, Champions League, World Club Cup, Community Shield - how many competitions does it take to score a dozen goals?

Michu - £2m - 13 goals in League & Capital One Cup.

Does that mean if Michu had cost as much as FeROFLnando he would have scored 325 goals by now?

No, but then you know that, anyway.

It means that a player that cost all of £2m has scored more so far this season - and apparently the season hasn't finished yet - than a player who cost £48m more. i know who's looking ever so slightly iike the better buy just now, but if Torres hasn't scored 25 times as many goals at the finish, then he's a failure. :|

Errm, because they are the reigning champions of europe, it's not hard to give them stick but you've missed badly there

You've got to hand it to Benitez, tacking over a motley bunch of disinterested mercenaries and getting them so close to Global Dominance after only a few games in charge.

There will be "In Rafa We Trust" banners before the season is out.

I can't quite understand why Benitez went to CheLOLsea, it's a lose-lose situation for him. Damned if he does well (because of their disgrace of a support) and damned even more (with dignity lost) if they lose today for example. Awful club, sacking Di Matteo was an utter joke

Damned in the eyes of the supporters maybe. But do well and he puts himself back in the frame for Premier League/La Liga jobs.

So much for Romans plans to make Chelsea a global force. First half decent team they play in 4 games and are stuffed.
