YateleyRoyal Half the team? Where are you getting that?

Berbatov - quality but gone.
Bent - quality, but not playing well.
Sidwell - in form.
Stekelenburg - Injured for long periods
Hangeland - good player.

So it makes plenty of sense as to why they are where they are, as they dont have any real quality...

11 players in a team, you've named 5 - i'll throw Karagounis in, if you ever watch him he never gives the ball away and has great vision and passing - call him a half and thats half the team 8)

Does the point make a whistling sound as it passes you by? This is almost Kes levels of logic m8.

Bottom of the table and four points off safety doesn't exactly scream quality.

Those players have quality. They are short of confidence and confidence is everything in football.

You have named 5 players who do have quality in them, (GK, 1 centre back, a midfielder and two strikers) which is pretty much the backbone of their team. Berbatov has gone, admittedly, so that's still a decent backbone though. I also don't think you can discount Berbatov as a quality player in their squad because he has now gone and not count Dempsey or Holtby because they have just arrived.

Bad form doesn't make a capable player automatically shite.

He sold Cabaye and replaced him with .....nobody!

BBC MOTD2 kind of suggested that may be the reason he went.

Of course you can not count Dempsey and Holtby, as the original point made was about Fulham dont deserve to be where they are as they have quality players.

They have a team that is capable of being mid-table, not bottom of the league - you're making out that they are the worst team in the division....

EXCLUSIVE: Swansea City poised for managerial reshuffle

MICHAEL Laudrup returns to the Liberty today with Swansea City poised to shake up their management team.

Swansea are back in training this morning having been given two days off following their bleak defeat at West Ham last weekend.

But there are question marks over who will be taking the session amid speculation that Laudrup is set to meet Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins to discuss the current malaise at the club.

The Evening Post understands Swansea’s owners are considering a managerial reshuffle which could see long-serving club skipper Garry Monk given a role on the coaching staff.

And it is also thought Swansea could promote Pep Clotet, the Spaniard who was recruited as the club’s academy consultant last November, to a role with the first team.

If the changes are made, doubt would be cast over the futures of Laudrup’s current backroom team – which includes the likes of Erik Larsen, Morten Wieghorst and Oscar Garcia - as well as that of the manager himself.

Rumours that Laudrup could face the sack emerged in the wake of the abject West Ham defeat, which left Swansea just two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone having won only once in their last ten top-flight games.

It would be a big call for Swansea to dismiss their manager for the first time in ten years – and it is also thought likely to cost the club millions of pounds.

But what Laudrup’s reaction will be if Swansea’s decision-makers press ahead with any backroom alterations remains to be seen.

The Dane, after all, ended up leaving previous club Real Mallorca when Larsen – who is his main scout at Swansea - was shown the door.

Should changes be made to Laudrup's staff, there will be considerable doubt over whether he will be happy to continue as Swansea boss.

Monk, who has been a Swansea player for a decade, has long been earmarked as management material, and the 34-year-old is currently studying for his Uefa A licence.

Clotet, 36, has had spells coaching at Espanyol, Swedish pair Malmo and Halmstads, Norwegian club Viking and Malaga.

He is thought to have impressed Jenkins since agreeing to oversee the running of Swansea’s youth set-up two-and-a-half months ago.

Just going to state this again - where they are NOW depends a lot on Berbatov. He may have left recently, but you can't strike him from a discussion of their current place in the league.

I'll give you a month, maybe two, sure. But not now.

I just looked up and saw he'd only played a handful of games.

Thought he'd been there since the summer but then again MLS only finishes in autumn. My fault for introducing him to the discussion.

I reckon they've got a decent enough first XI and what's killing them is fatigue and having to need a squad rather than an eleven.
