sandman It was a deliberate foul, the player admitted that it was deliberate and the reasons why he did it. Cheating wouldn't be a wholly inaccurate way of describing it.

Fair enough. If you don't believe that deliberately breaking the rules to gain an advantage is cheating then so be it.

As for the play-offs, a rather disappointing set this year, with the teams I wanted to win managing to lose all three.

Went to the Burton v Fleetwood game, and witnessed the lowest crowd I'll probably ever see at Wembley unless I go to an FA Vase Final - just 14,007 were there.

Yes

and just like the FA Vase (5.5k), the FA Trophy (19k), justification to bin some of those Wembley rights (especially when the localities of the finalists are from north of the Watford Gap services).

And as non-league-nut Talk-Squawks Tony Incenzo alludes to in this weeks Non League Paper, why not combine fixtures like these as a bit of a "jamboree"....£30 entrance all day for more than the one game.

15k or 80k it's all about getting to and playing at Wembley - I think it's great the lower league fan gets to experience this and it's not just exclusive to the top teams.

I was talking about that on the way home.

Play both the Vase and Trophy finals on the same day as a double header, and make the pricing realistic, and get a load more fans going along.

Then again today's game was just unlucky in that you had two of the division's smallest clubs playing. It has been over 60,000 in the past.

Sorry, disagree.....whilst kind've agreeing with your sentiments

Too many games are Wembley focused these days....where is the point of (say) Newcastle Benfield playing Whitley Bay at Wembley?....surely St Jame's would be better for all?

Agree that all finals League Two and up should be at Wembley.

I just wish they'd go back to having the FA semis at Villa Park/Old Trafford. It detracts from the occasion of the final having them at Wembley.

TBM I'm "lolling" cos I've never know anyone to get upset over a foul to the point they call it cheating

Derby only have themselves to blame for losing the game

Don't remember anyone calling the Yeovil player a cheat when he pulled down Drenthe when he was clean through, in the 1-1 draw back in March

Perhaps because it was a blatant dive by persistent cheat Royston Drenthe?
I recall consoling the poor Yeovil defender as he went off the pitch with a "Don't worry, that will definitely be rescinded." And it was.

This League 2 PO Final was an anomaly. Fleetwood are a new club and as such have very few fans. Burton have never been remotely succesful = very few fans.
Last year's final had an attendance of 47,127.
53,706 in 2009.
61,589 in 2007.

Conference Finals can also have massive attendances.
Sometimes there happens to be a big club in the PO Final, sometimes there isn't.
39,265 in 2012 to see Luton vs York

Oxford United and Exeter City have each taken 30,000+ fans to a Conference Final in recent years.

Make your mind up, you're the one saying they shouldn't be at Wembley

As I already said the attendance shouldn't matter so not sure why 14k vs 19k is an argument here

TBM 15k or 80k it's all about getting to and playing at Wembley - I think it's great the lower league fan gets to experience this and it's not just exclusive to the top teams.

frimmers3 perhaps another massive local derby for the royals next season.

How on earth would Leyton Orient have represented a local derby match for us next season?

Geography isn't your strong suit. A decade or so contributing to this message board and we are still wondering what your strong suit actually is.

Because it takes planning.

How do you propose a wolves vs Bradford playoff at 12 pm followed by Portsmouth vs Oxford at 7pm?

Same could be said for non league fixtures....
