Have you seen Sonko on a football pitch in the last 3 years? Past his best is about as kind as I can be.

But if he turns it around then fairs to him - legendary status intactus, etc - but I can't see it happening.

It'll be very interesting to see how he does. He must have only played half a dozen Championship games since his injury spell and his Premier League moves came on the back of his past reputation. I know through my Hull contact that some of their board members were furious at the difference between what they were told they were getting and what they witnessed out on the pitch. But he might still make for a decent enough defender at this level. We just don't know, because it's been nigh-on four years since he played in the Championship with any regularity.
