royalexile Jose -  . No shame but plenty of arrogance.

and plenty of personality. Love him. The Premiership needs more like him.

Has to be Fergie's repacement, surely.

Loved Mourinho's celebrations at the end. Everything he does is calculated, you just know that celebration was all about winding Barcelona up.

LOL @ Valdes trying to stop him and double LOL @ Barcelona for turning the sprinklers on to try and get Mourinho off the pitch

Choke? :|

Inter played the most negative game of football, even when they had 11 men, that I've ever seen. Fair play to them, they did the whole 'park the bus' thing very well, but it was rank to watch. Can't believe the number of people on here happy to see Inter win TBH.

Rank? I thought it was enthralling. How could you not wnat those bunch of cheats to lose? Tiago Motta even called it before the game.

Probably something of a reaction against the ridiculous hype lavished on Barcelona over the last few weeks.

For me it's a cracking reminder that success at any level of football demands a range of skills, of which intricate passing and stepovers are but two. Inter's organisation and resilience were textbook, particularly after they suffered that scandalous red card.

And Mourinho? Totally calculated but you've got to love it.

Which bunch of cheats? Lucio spent twice as much time rolling on the floor as any of the Barca players did!

How quickly you forget how Inter out played Barca in the first leg. They did their job in the home leg; the away leg was always going to be a backs to the walls affair. Especially after a ridiculous sending off. Pedro should take a good look at himself there.

Football is not all about stepovers and little flicks, great defending is one of the forgotten arts of the game (too many kids raised on FIFA).

Inter did a job on Barca because they know that Barca have no plan B. 30 seconds left and taking short corners? LOL.

If you can't appreciate an absolutely outstanding defensive performance I would suggest you think about watching another sport.

Can you blame him? Just fuelled by a sense of injustice. Not to mention the foul play at Inters hotel the night before. Police turing up in the middle of the night saying one of the players owes tax? what that all about?

Im just glad the media hyped Barcelona oxf*rd fest in over. The commentary last night was, again, was just so biased.

Amazing defence performance from Inter.

I think many like Mourinho tbf.

Also, first leg Inter were superb. Second leg was some of the best defending you'll see. Great performance from Inter.

Over the two legs Inter were the better team and got a bit of luck with the offside goal in the first leg. I like Mourinho, wasn't quite up to his Old Trafford fingers celebration but a quality fvck off to the Barca fans. Whatever you think about him he prepares his teams well and generally gets his tactics right. You don't win titles in different countries without being a good manager.

Anyone complaining about Inter's place in the final surely can't appreciate the tactical side of the game.

In one case you've got a team who out-played their opponents in the first-leg and took a much deserved 3-1 lead into the second-leg. At "half-time" they were two goals ahead and their job thereafter was always going to be to frustrate the opposition and to hold onto that lead, whilst hoping to be a threat themselves with the occassional counter-attack.

However, with the red card any threat posed by Inter was surely gone so it became backs to the wall in an attempt to clutch onto that two goal lead they rightfully held from the game in Italy. There's absolutely nothing negative about the fact they didn't test Victor Valdez last night because, quite frankly, they didn't need to.

The flip-side of this is a team with only one string to it's bow - short passing football. Barcelona are much like the Arsenal of the last few years in that there is no Plan B. When their neat triangles fail to open up space and they struggle to go through an oponent they have nothing else to turn to. Taking off Ibrahimovic was a mistake in my eyes because he at least offers something different with his height and physical presence, meaning longer balls and crosses would become an option rather than just passing the ball back and forth along the Inter 18-yard line as they did for the last twenty minutes of the game.

Predictable response. I fully appreciate the fact that it was an excellent defensive performance, but in terms of watching the game from a neutral's point of view, I'd much rather see the team actually trying to make it a spectacle win the game.

And if anyone honestly thinks that an Inter player wouldn't have done exactly the same as Busquets to get a Barca player like Xavi sent off then they're completely deluded.

Even more amusing is how everyone on here seems to be in love with Mourinho. Obviously forgotten everything he said about us after the Hunt/Cech incident....

Arsenal comparisons are obvious and accurate. Excellent point someone made up there ^^ about the short corner at the end. I don't like them at the best of times but I was doing my pieces when they did that right at the death. Any team that doesn't stick a free cross into the box with 30 seconds left need their heads checking.

And yet they are so outraged by a mere piece of gamesmanship by Barcelona?

Fair enough...
