TheMaraudingDog Underdog in upping their game for their cup final stock.

TheMaraudingDog Barca outclassed us. No questions.
But last night United showed no urgency, left players at home and were half arsed.
Would have been much different if it was the champions league that Im sure.

Royal Rother Agreed. Ferguson is a bloody genius.
It'll be absolutely astonishing if they win the league with that lot. And a lot of me hopes they do just to prove that the biggest spenders need a bit more than money to win the PL.

TheMaraudingDog OT was their biggest ever away following and the most ever Euro away fans at OT. A shade undetermined 5k. Their cup final

And they won it.

TheMaraudingDogFiNeRaInRoyal Rother Well, I watched one team totally outclass the other. Motivation had nothing to do with that.
Exactly, lol at putting it down to motivation. Who turns up not arsed in front of a crowd of 40,000 supports bouncing around in europe. In the big picture, sure, Man Utd don't care as much but on the night football is played then and there and you go out to win. Bilbao are a team with momentum with 1/2 good individuals and they played as a good technical, functional unit. Man Utd are just a disjointed team on the decline whose quality now is as as low as its been at least in my life time. I don't dislike man Utd I respect them massively and they have produced stunning football over the years, but if they doing invest ehavily in the summer than itll be the same again next year... traditionally smaller clubs going there and outplaying them knocking them out again.
Worst post in hobnobs history.

TheMaraudingDog Great club, all local players and by all accounts the people of Bilbao were very good hosts to United fandom.

Hoop Blah United are in transition, far too early to say it's a decline though.

TheMaraudingDog Finerain...Im sure teams have thumped palace this season. it means nothing.
3 CL finals out of 4. Would have been 4/4 were it not for Robbens last min volley.
This year was always going to be tougher for us as we bring in players to freshen up the squad. It doesn't mean decline just means change. Fergies been doing it for years.
And if it were not for a De Gea mistake we would not have got knocked out of the group stage and De Gea is already looking twice the keeper he was pre new year.
Exciting times ahead and Im confident of bagging no 20.

Funnily enough, Palace's heaviets defeat is 3-0 and they have only conceded 3 goals in a game twice. Not quite a thumping. And I hope you are not trying to compare the Carling Cup with the Europa Cup or whatever it's called. If Bilbao had taken half of their chances, the aggreate score would have been far higher. I would not be surprised if Fergie decided after the first leg that it was not worth competing and instead, focus on the league. Then, lo and behold, City go out at the same stage. Coincidence?
