Talking of Pepe... Gone for a 2-2 scorecast 420/1, because why not

Haha. Oops. Should have looked. Ah well, should be cash back then as long as he doesn't come on before the first goal?

It'll just switch to a correct score single, I think.

Does that count, Peps? Presumably it applied to extra-time too.

I had £10 on Atletico in 90 mins at 3/1.

None yet, but I'm thinking of a little on Argentina @5/1. Their route to the semi-final is pretty decent.

Maybe a small EW on Italy @28/1. Or perhaps the 5/1 on them making the semi-final.

Paddy Power are giving £5 free bet per goal, when you back someone to be top scorer.

Does sound good. Has to be £20 minimum, but £10ew qualifies.

Have no idea who to back though.

Aguerro 16/1?
Fred 22/1?
Benzema 25/1? (33/1 elsewhere)

I was gonna go Fred. Is he a guaranteed starter?

I've gone with Dzeko at 80/1, in the hope that he'll score back-to-back double hat-tricks against Nigeria and Iran.

I like that.

They were a very attack-minded side in qualifying and the coach has vowed to continue that into the World Cup proper. I think they'll sneak 2nd place in the group.

I think so - they play with Hulk, Oscar and Neymar behind, and the only other obvious centre-forward is Jo.

World Cup bets are ON :!:

Highlights include:

Fred Top Scorer £10 EW @22/1 (to take up the Paddy Power £5 free bet per goal offer)
A few quid EW on Benzema, Aguerro, Dzeko EW
Argentina to win £10 @9/2

Mexico to finish bottom of their group @100/30. Decent price, I think, given their absolutely appalling qualification campaign.
Germany then Ghana, straight forecast @7/1 - as Portugal are pretty rubbish.
Ivory Coast and Japan, dual forecast @12/1. An amazing price IMO - they've just got to edge out Falcao-deprived Columbia and Greece.
