Going for a group accumulator but playing it pretty safe, haven't decided on choices definitively but at the moment I'm going...

Brazil to qualify from group A
Spain to qualify from group B
Colombia to qualify from group C
Italy to qualify from group D
Honduras to finish last in group E
Bosnia to qualify from group F
Portugal to qualify from group G
Algeria to finish last in group H

£20 returns £207

Ouroboros Ivory Coast and Japan, dual forecast @12/1. An amazing price IMO - they've just got to edge out Falcao-deprived Columbia and Greece.

I like this.

Clearly my huge outlay and faultless betting record has convinced bet365 they've got that one wrong - they've cut it to 10/1. Theirs is still the best price available.

Ouroboros World Cup bets are ON :!:

Highlights include:

Fred Top Scorer £10 EW @22/1 (to take up the Paddy Power £5 free bet per goal offer)
A few quid EW on Benzema, Aguerro, Dzeko EW

Argentina to win £10 @9/2

Mexico to finish bottom of their group @100/30. Decent price, I think, given their absolutely appalling qualification campaign.
Germany then Ghana, straight forecast @7/1 - as Portugal are pretty rubbish.
Ivory Coast and Japan, dual forecast @12/1. An amazing price IMO - they've just got to edge out Falcao-deprived Columbia and Greece.

This is the pretty much the same as my bets so far, Fred is an exceptional price IMO

I might put a few quid on Belgium, not many people are tipping them and I reckon they've got a chance

Thinking about backing these team to win their leagues.
Champ: Wolves 16/1
L1: Preston 8/1
L2: Tranmere 14/1

Haven't committed yet so any opinions welcomed.

Anyone pick up the Racing Post World Cup Preview yesterday? Outstanding as ever. Anyway like Argentina 9/2 and for an outside bet probably France.

As much as I'd hate the Argies to win really, I do think they are good value in the betting.

In fact, sod it, just put a tenner on them at 9/1.

Is it me or are Brazil good value too?

4.3 available on the exchanges.

But then I do love lumping on a favourite.

Was about to say, If you've found 9/1 lump heavily then lay back for double money somewhere else.

5.5 is still decent IMO. Nailed on for the semis at least.

I think brazil and argentina are both value. Will only get shorter from here on in.

What odds are Croatia to beat Brazil in the opener?

Defo worth a punt IMO. Prolly do the draw too.

Personally with that one I wouldn't go more than the draw. Actually I imagine many of the opening games to be draws including the England - Italy game.

I've gone 4-1 the draw and 12-1 Croatia to win, with Paddy Power.

10 Euros on each.

Brazil are 3/10 (iirc)

Obviously Brazil should win, but 12-1 in a three-horse race is generous, especially as Croatia are tough (er, I hope)
