A lot of putting 2 and 2 together there methinks.

Prolly Villa is Rodger's level. A club truly believing they're bigger than they are with a manager truly believing he's better than he is. A perfect match.

Agreed. I look forward to his brand of empty management-speak psyschobabble being further discredited at Villa as he starts his well deserved drop down the divisions in earnest. Of course, some of us said 6 years ago that he is the Emperor's New Clothes of football managers and now the rest of the world seems to be catching up.....

No, Villa know they're currently lucky to finish around 16th.

Yeah, Shedders is describing Newcastle, not Villa.

They might think that now, but they think they should be challenging for the top 6.

Deadlock Yeah, Shedders is describing Newcastle, not Villa.

I know what you mean, and on reflection Newcastle could be looking for a manger in the near future.

I just don't think Newcastle fans will stand for him.

Of course his record indicates you are wrong but let's not allow facts to get in the way of some good old fashioned prejudice eh?

Here we go. Manager who has won nothing bar a divisional playoff game gets defended yet again.

You really couldn't make it up! A once famous and big club, now the a laughingstock, and there's no light at the end of the tunnel with Cellino at the 'helm'..

Leeds are a mess - the two players in their squad with most Leeds appearances are both youth graduates Sam Byram (22) and Alex Mowatt (20), the latter having played 81 games. No identity left at the club. For christ's sake, give the new boss more than 12 games.

Since Warnock was sacked they've got through 5 managers for 112 games, and McDermott was nearly half of those.

The Villa fans I know, and 99% of the ones I hear on the radio and see on the telly, all think they should be challenging for Europe based on the size and history of the club (but obviously not with the current squad and issues with investment and ownership). Not necessarily getting there every year but certainly they think they should be challenging.

No could about it in their eyes.

If Evans gets it I reckon he'll be gone by Easter.

I note Colin is back at QPR again as Chris Ramsey's advisor, how long before he's back as manager I wonder.
