Yup, they could really do with as much publicity as they can get, hardly anyone will know who they are otherwise

Alexander Litvinenko
PieEater didn't Lol at the journalist expecting some footballer to have his profile raised and his stardom and merchandising income increased by giving him free exposure.

Yeah the club wouldn't employ a publicist for that to carefully control the message and the image, I'm sure some aged hack would do a much better job.

Changing the subject will the court case in April to decide if Chanria has to sell the gorund at a reasonable price and save the day - or will it be the end of Pompey at last. Even if they get the gound it looks like they might fall down the league pyramid for a couple more seasons.

Such a shame!

PieEater Lol at the parasitic journalist expecting some footballer to spend his spare time for free so he could sell the story.

Surely the argurment would be that in the "mixed zone" they are still at work and should behave in the manner according to that.

They must be in quite a desperate state. They're only three points off of the play-offs, but a ten point deduction will end their season early. They have also been looking at local stadiums they can move to to save costs. They can't afford the rent at the Ricoh. Very sad state of affairs. As always, it's the fans that suffer the most.

SSN have just reported that as of today Coventry City FC will not play the remaining home fixtures at the Ricoh Arena. #PUSB #CCFC

What a mess!

I have never understood this arangement. You have a stadium clearly built for CCFC sky blue in colour that is not owned by the club which they rent off the people who built it? What else are they going to use it for apart from the odd concert? Surely it's in the interest of the owners of the ground to come to an arrangement to keep them there?

I think they realised that fact so stopped paying the extortionate rent and tried to renegotiate (iirc it was circa 100k/month). I think this is just a continuation of the haggling to get a rent they can afford, the owners will be paying masses of interest to the bank but they really only have one possible customer.

So what's the future of that ugly new stadium? Rugby? A local ish football club taking on the rent?

Must be a strange feeling as a STH not to be going back to 'your' stadium.

10 point deduction for Coventry then. Which of course will be no penalty whatsoever.

Wow, Birmingham are skewered.

Guardian investigation suggests that the man running the club whilst Carson Yeung awaits trial, Peter Pannu, has been skimming cash off the top of money coming into the club.

Seems the 'fit and proper person test' is alive and well and continuing to serve absolutely no purpose at all.

Can anyone explain why Coventry were deducted 10 points as soon as they went into administration (despite the fact that they claim they are not in administration) but Portsmouth have yet to see the points disappear down the drain ?
