If Liverpool finish top, Liverpool will deserve it. Gerrard will deserve to have won one during his career no matter where Liverpool finish this season.
You can be an outstanding player through out your entire career and still not play in a team that wins the title, if that team doesn't have enough other players near your caliber.

I can't decide if I want Chelsea to win against Liverpool and still lose out on the title, or for them to get absolutely hammered. One gives them hope and crushes them, the other just crushes them. Hmmm.

The absolute refusal to admit you might be wrong (Sterling) is standard, but that's^ a bit shit.
I think Sterling is a limited player and overrated at the present time. He runs down blind alleys, doesn't have much beyond pace, and generally lacks composure.
Looking more ridiculous by the game because he seems to improve every time he takes to the pitch.

He was never that popular with Liverpool fans IIRC, not "one of them" in the same way as Robbie Fowler or Steven Gerrard. Didn't help that his dad played for the blue side of the city. Joining Manchester United kind of cemented the dislike.
