Also the collective rage of Cardiff fans at going out in the playoffs AGAIN would make excellent future reading. On balance of the four sides, my preferred partner in promotion would be Birmingham. I think they would have got autos without the Europa League distraction constantly playing catchup in terms of games, and Hughton is a gent. Admittedly I dislike that they appear to be running a very fine line financially and are spending above their level. I have more affection for Blackpool BUUUUT I would love Philips/Ince to be Reading players and if Blackpool stay down they might be obtainable.

That said, Blackpool have Dobbie on loan so they'll probably go up! Trip to the seaside anyone?

Although it would be good to see West Ham 0 - 3 Cardiff in front of the West Ham faithful!

If West Ham sit this deep for the rest of it, can see Cardiff pulling it back to 2-2

Away goals don't count either - so if Cardiff could nick one, then the 2nd leg will be more interesting

Not really. They have been utterly woeful in front of goal.

If they could finish, I would of been right, I meant closer and closer in terms of chances.

Cardiff fans must hate the PO's as much as us. They never turn up. They desperately need a striker & look pretty shit to be honest. West Ham are cruising now.

Quelle surprise. Was always going to be a WHU win tonight & next week. The other match is closer but I guess that's stating the obvious given their league positions. I still think WHU v Brum final. Brum to win.

Another successful campaign for Cardiff in their annual battle against promotion.

That was a bit of a job done by West Ham. Cardiff need a decent striker. Once again Kenny Miller was woeful. As for Earnshaw...

Cardiff must be the only team who have a worse playoff record than us.

Ark Royal Was thinking Whittingham, but he is playing as if he is on the beach already.

My only concern with Whittingham, having seen him a couple of times this season, is that he plays good football, but doesn't seem to do any damage. I know he's been played quite deep, but I can't help wondering if that's because he's lost a yard of pace / bit of skill / bit of desire and can't really hurt teams in the final third anymore.

A player with his scoring record to seemingly be played as the deep playmaker unless he's seriously on the wane seems baffling otherwise.
