soggy biscuit I hate all this 'there was contact' business. Its a contact sport ffs.
Yip

and my 14 y/o lad ended up on a spine board at A&E playing rugby last week, yet played today, his mates regularly end up with bloodied noses, studded body parts and various cracked bones....they "pay to play" and just love it

These "professional" footballers are a real credit to their game too  .

For the first time refs are starting to get tough on divers and cheats. The likes of Ivanovic, Oscar, Torres & Suarez have all been booked for diving this season and long may it continue, need that s**t out of the game.

Clear dive
Only thing in Torres favour is that most people get away with this, but if the tide is turning tough luck

Now Chelsea are complaining about the refs language!

So Chelsea players can be in a refs face all the game effing and blinding but if he says something back they report him.

CheLOLsea

(Read one report that he said 'you really missed your racist captain today' and another similar one where he said 'piece of s**t racist captain')

Inappropriate language coming from Chelsea, have a word!

I hope every referee absolutely spanks Chelsea for the rest of the season : first sign of dissent - red card , two fouls in a minute , persistent fouling , a throw taken 4 inches too far down the line, a foul throw ......

Chelsea had two players sent off and lost ...........and suddenly they stir the pot on the referee .

I'd quite like to see a referees strike and if this sticks don't rule it out.

Clattenburg is popular on referee's circuit.

Pretty clear from that clip that the contact did not knock him down, he chose to fall to the ground. Only has himself to blame.

That's so obviously a dive

Having just seen the highlights, the did he/didn't he dive becomes irrelevant next to planting his studs on Cleverley's chest. Compare that to the Tiote red card.

If there is any contact it is by Torres ankle so why does he hold his knee when he lands?

I thought referees have a mike to communicate with the other officials. Anything said should have been picked up.

If CheLOLsea are fabricating this complaint, the FA should come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Di Matteo after the game:

"I've watched the replay of the third goal again and it's clear once Rafael shoots, Chicharito is in an offside position. Everything went for United in that sense and that makes us unhappy."

Ain't karma a bitch Roberto?

I'm actually getting really sick of the "big clubs" attitude now. It feels like its got worse recently, maybe in the last year. Maybe because of so many off-the-field headlines.

I'm sick of managers criticising referees.

It's crazy that in a split second they must choose if its off side, a foul, a yellow/red, a penalty, a dive etc...

The nature of this means there WILL be mistakes. I love it, and it makes football more exciting. Managers continually moaning is pathetic and it seems to be the same people week-after-week.

Agreed, and what really annoys me is this idea from arrogant managers/pundits/fans that referees are "getting worse" and that something must be done now. I know the game is quicker now, but referees have always had to make 100s of difficult decisions like these and have always got some right and some wrong, it's just now there's 50 cameras at every game covering it from every angle, and TV shows with hours to fill after the game where they can and will analyse every single incident a million times, and where they will interview managers for 20 minutes to allow them to moan and shift blame. People have always moaned about refereeing decisions, but it was in the hour in the pub after the game on Saturday night, or the manager having a little moan in the local paper. Now there's 24-hour news channels keeping the story running and trying to tease out more and more controversy as they lust for new content. Must admit it did amuse me seeing Sky Sports and Graeme Souness going crazy about how referees are killing the game etc on Sunday night, when really we all know that they'd be struggling to fill that redundant 2 hours after the match if every decision had been made correctly.

Apparently the language that the ref used that Chelsea players are complaining about is
You're booked
And
That's two bookings you're off
